    Pros

Hub Group rewards hard work. Individuals that take ownership and pride in their performance and want to make a difference work well here. If you're looking to be a clock puncher, this probably isn't the place for you.

    Cons

Expectations are high and can at times be overwhelming. However, I've always felt that I've become better from the experiences.

    Advice to Management

Need to spend more individual time with lower level management.

I have been working at Hub Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Hub Group has been a great place to work. I chose to start my professional career at Hub Group after graduating college about a year ago and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I look forward to the opportunities to come and to my future with this company.

    -Relaxed yet professional atmosphere
-Great building with open floor plans
    -Upper mobility and growth opportunities
    -Positive environment
    -Competitive compensation
    -Open communication

    Cons

Not much job flexibility, but that's due to the nature of my role and it's functions

I have been working at Hub Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good friendly work environment. Decent pay with all round benefits. You get to work from home on Sundays if you are scheduled to work the weekend.

    Cons

Outdated systems software. Organization is still behind compared to their competitors. Management does not hold those accountable for anything. Drivers fail to execute.

I have been working at Hub Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The headquarters is the best place I could personally imagine working at. Very nice coworkers. Inclusive. Values advancement. On the edge of industry growth. Great, charity-valuing corporate environment. I love the building! I have a huge floor to ceiling window right in front of me. In fact, the exterior of the building is entirely glass. Rest areas are actually in the walls of a Hub Group transportation container, which is fun and cool. Very clean and modern. I like the challenging, process-improvement problem solving I have to do with my position in the pricing department. Many jobs hear revolve around using excel and I sit in front of 3 monitors much of the day. However, customer-centered company where other positions interact much with customers. I love that you don't have to have any industry experience before applying to many entry-level jobs here. It is a learning environment here, so people start from scratch learning vocab/basics of the intermodal trasportation industry. The company clearly shows their appreciation for their customers. Often, food is catered here, like portillos. Every Friday we get donuts and Panera bagels. Open concept of collaboration and teamwork. Work for many is 8-5 and can leave right at 5. An hour break for lunch that is based on honor system and can be used whenever you want throughout day. Some nature areas, like small ponds, walkways, and a river are right next to parking lot on property.

    Cons

I'm not quite sure. Perhaps the benefits and pay are standard. Nothing too special or negative.

I have been working at Hub Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people at Hub Group are wonderful! I love coming to work every day and working with smart and like-minded individuals. This creates a fun work environment.

I love the developmental opportunities Hub Group provides. Different mentor, leadership development programs, and shadowing opportunities allow me to not only grow quickly in my role but learn about other departments and roles in the organization. Being able to earn certificates and become a facilitator for our Leadership Development Program makes Hub employees become well-rounded leaders.

I am amazed by the internal training program. Being part of this team makes me realize how much Hub Group invests in its employees. Employees receive a 1-6-week formal training, depending on their role. Training sessions provide new hires with an overview of the company's history as well as role specific training.

Hub Group's location in Oak Brook is beautiful. The newly renovated building provides a comfortable environment at a professional level.

    Cons

There is not much I can think of. Hours could be more flexible and working from home once a week could be an option. Hub Group is doing a great job engaging its employees!

I worked at Hub Group (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Responsible for many different tasks
    Had many responsibilities right away

    Cons

Department was restructuring and many seasoned employees were unhappy with changes
Lots of changes in upper management and unfortunately not for the better. Many times where I heard screaming coming from conference rooms.
Work culture and satisfaction on slippery slope
