Improve on employee recognition between annual reviews.

I have been working at INDUS Technology (More than a year)

    Pros

Feels like a small company where owner cares (but is not in good communication w actual workers )

    Cons

Feels like a small company where family members walk on water - zero accountability for mid level managers -

    Advice to Management

    Middle management is unaccountable
    Review long time employees

    Fast hiring methods. Contractor hiring.

    Cons

Lack of training. The job I applied for and was told I was hired for was not the job i was doing. Was never trained on the system I worked on or went to the schools i was promised.

    Pros

location, good parking, restrooms, desire to be better

    Cons

Expensive benefits, poor project management, very poor support for job tools, like software, ergonomics, directions for spawar processes (CAC, SPIDER), no checks and balances of management- just fat get fatter, performance not rewarded

    Advice to Management

Reward performance- open door policy about mid management which is weak but protected

I worked at INDUS Technology (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Open communication with management; people-centric; recognize hard workers and efforts to maintain company values; recognize and compensate talented individual based on performance and client or customer feedback. INDUS generates fun activities for the employees throughout the year. I truly enjoyed and earned the respect of the leadership as well as coworkers.

    Cons

The company has some limitations based on being a government contractor.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. You are a high quality company!

    Pros

The company is knowledgeable and experienced in the services they provide to the customer. Able to secure themselves with contracts that are beneficial to the industry. Good Benefits.

    Cons

Small company with no clear indication of career path for my job, there were no formal processes in place. Company does not invest in internal employee training or development, did not feel equal treatment of employees. Did not feel my talents were recognized or fully utilized. Very much fly by the seat of your pants mentality.

    Advice to Management

Recognize employees for their hard work and develop their career within the organization, not just focus on the bottom line. Make the performance review process more interactive and ongoing through the year, provide tangible goals&objectives that can be measured. Treat all your employees with respect.

I worked at INDUS Technology full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great compensation and benefits; genuinely cares about its employees; always strives to make employees feel valued!

    Cons

Regarding the company, I can't really think of any Cons other than its methods (or lack of) of retaining its talent pool in the event of unforeseen circumstances with government customers/contracts.

    Advice to Management

Find ways to retain highly skilled, senior employees should unexpected circumstances arise.

I worked at INDUS Technology full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The only pro, which turns out to be a con is how easy the hiring process was.

    Cons

Before I even started, the scope of the project changed several times. I was supposed to work a team member, which eventually ended up just being me. There was no other employees of Indus on site, so I would report directly to a remote manager, who was also working overseas occasionaly, which compounded problems even further.
