I have been working at ISG Technology full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

This is a family-owned 30+ year old company, and that shines in how they care for their employees and customers. The company has always been known for their people, I love who I work with and for. My role allows me to impact several areas of the business and have a say in the direction of the company. That level of inclusion is a rare find at a company this size.

    Cons

The future is uncertain, but this is as exciting as it can be fearsome. I am incredibly optimistic about the new approach the leadership team has implemented.

    Advice to Management

Stay the course, your team believes in you!

I have been working at ISG Technology full-time

    Pros

The executive management team is very personable and wants to hear employee's thoughts on how to make ISG Technology better.
Employees care about each other personally about professionally.
Very much a team vibe of reaching a common goal.
The benefits are generous to the employee.

    Cons

Not many. Excited to see where the future will take ISG.

I have been working at ISG Technology full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

People who care about customers and fellow teammates' success. If someone needs help there will be people there to support you regardless of whether that impacts their near-term objective or not. The company is thinking 3 or more years in advance and is transparent in where they are going. We treat customer well and are striving for longer-term relationships that go way beyond the transactional sale. Benefits are fair to slightly better than the market.

    Cons

Sometimes people are busy but the work doesn't get prioritized as whether it's important or not so new initiatives take longer than they should. Ensuring employees know why changes are happening to gain buy-in and then accountability for results is improving and still needs attention.

    Advice to Management

Stay the course with vision and values that are in the company , but really determine who on the management team is ready to lead people, go the extra mile to gain buy-in, assign accountability and then coach or counsel people based on their ability to move the bar.

I worked at ISG Technology full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Business hours with every weekend off

    Cons

The company is disorganized and unprepared. Job placement and advancement is based on who you know, not what you know or previous experience. Training is done on the go and is unstructured. “Best Practice” involves using outdated technology and ad hoc solutions for daily business. The direction is easy sales over long term self sustaining solutions. The left hand does not know what the right does. The organizational changes happen so often the rest of the company cannot keep up.

    Advice to Management

Keep things simple and don’t over complicate what’s already difficult. Listen your people. They know what works. They have great ideas. Invest in them. Treat them second only to your clients. If you don’t treat them right, your best people will become your competition again. Pass on information which is relevant to the company goals and necessary for business.

    Pros

Good local management and sales support at back of house

    Cons

Before leaving, company was bought out by a larger entity and was experiencing the expected difficulties of working in a new location. Other than that, things seem to run fairly well.

I have been working at ISG Technology full-time

    Pros

Great co-workers who are very technology-oriented.
Management is more engaged now. Company is focused on the right business outcomes and not driving bottom-line contribution at all costs.

    Cons

Management has not always kept the employees involved in business decisions. It's hard to process the implications of change decisions if we don't know the reasons for the changes.

    Advice to Management

Keep us employees engaged in conversations and about how the company makes money. We have ideas about evolving business offerings.
