I have been working at InTouch Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great company culture. People really believe in what the company is doing -- saving lives of patients. Fun engineering group with events like the "Robot Hackathon". There's a wide range of engineering work going on, from UI to networking to robotics to augmented reality. There are opportunities to work with a lot of cutting edge technologies and apply them to healthcare.

    Cons

The new office is a little far North on the 101. Also, for a while the salaries were below market (but fortunately that is changing now! New recruits should be happy with the compensation package.)

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the team-building activities

I have been working at InTouch Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Probably the most interesting job I've ever had. I love my coworkers who have not yet been poisoned by the lack of morale in this company.

    Cons

This company is so much about the money, they will work employees to the bone for a dollar. They do not care about your family, they do not care that you never get time even, to go to the doctor with the sub-par benefits it offers.
No 401k matching, but the bigger bosses are flying home in Jets and riding Ducatis while all their employees starve. The lower level management is condescending to their employees because of the pressure they are put under and it just rolls downhill. No flex days when working 60-70 hour weeks, weekends, late nights, etc. They do not care if you live or die, just get the job done. As soon as I can, I'm out of here.

Also, this company has two week long meetings, where they put everybody up in a nice hotel on the beach in Santa Barbara. But each day is 12-14 hours long, making you sit there for days on end listening to the company propoganda. No chance to check out the city, no chance to enjoy your time, they have every waking hour planned for you! Do not work here.

    Advice to Management

There is a reason why your turnover is so high. There is a reason why there is a new hire message sent out everyday. We are not expending! We are replacing burnt out employees. But you can't see that?
How about matching 401k? How about some actual 40 hour work weeks? How about paying employees what they are worth?

    Pros

    Great atmosphere.
    Great people.
The work you do is rewarding, no matter the department. The closest you'll get to saving lives if you're not a doctor.

    Cons

    No one is paid enough.
    Minimal activities around the office.
Strange location since they don't pay anyone enough to afford a decent place to live near the office.

    Advice to Management

Make a little investment in your employees.

    Pros

Great flexibility, leadership truly cares about its people, you're truly making a difference through your work, wonderful opportunity for travel

    Cons

Santa Barbara is an odd city to have company HQ. A beautiful city, but odd business center.

I worked at InTouch Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Most are able to have some good training in telemedicine. Having clinical buy in is essential to a successful tele-health program.

    Cons

Leadership is condescending, manipulative, and deceitful. Leadership uses guilt inducing statements. Very low pay compared to industry. Only the top executives make money and try to make you feel guilty for questioning bad practices.

    Advice to Management

Your leadership and culture is toxic

    Pros

    - wonderful, passionate and dedicated employees
    - fulfilling job (you know you are literally saving lives by working at this company)
    - pretty good benefits (dental, vision, medical, PTO + holidays, discounted gym membership)
    - gorgeous HQ office in Goleta/SB area
    - CEO is genuinely a great person and is very passionate about the company

    Cons

    - a lot of focus on revenue and not on employees
    - HUGE turnover rate, even for executives (makes it hard to have any consistency when employees get pushed to different supervisors almost every year)
    - they expect way more than 40 hours a week of work
    - no free snacks/lunches, just water and horrid coffee
    - under the market salaries (they even admit this to their employees and candidates)
    - a lot of micromanaging at the executive level - almost to an offensive point
    - very low company culture, not huge turnouts at company events

    Advice to Management

Invest more time in your employees and help them get promoted from within, stop micromanaging so much and trust your employees, be more flexible and open minded with new policies, and start paying your employees fairly.

I have been working at InTouch Health full-time

    Pros

InTouch Health provides a telehealth network and services that support access and delivery of high-quality clinical care to any patient at any time, while reducing overall costs of care.

    Cons

Decent benefits but lower than average pay. Employees are very dedicated and work long hours. This company is not for everyone. You have to look at the big picture and know that you are making a difference in healthcare.

I have been working at InTouch Health full-time

    Pros

InTouch has had a big impact on the growth of the telemedicine industry. It has been an early innovator in technology, market offering, and business model. There is huge opportunity to leverage its position.

    Cons

InTouch is not innovating fast enough. The market seems to be accelerating.
