Nightmare of a Place to Work

Pros

Initially made a few good friends who were bright, hard-working, and engaging, but the company ran all of them off, and the ones who remained who I thought were still my friends wound up back-stabbing and betraying me.

Cons

Simply not enough characters to describe the many horrors experienced my last few months there. Overbearing, uncaring, and completely misguided (and stubborn) senior management in London. Promises regarding promotion and career advancement were broken. My salary was held stagnant and bonus cut sharply despite me being asked to do considerably more work and me bringing on additional clients through sales and outstanding analytic work and customer service. Witnessed local (Memphis) management and acolytes become extremely disconnected from reality, resort to constant lying and spin, and display outright corruption in some cases. Some employees were not only treated poorly just in terms of workload, pay, and "normal" business activities; they were also bullied, intimidated, and emotionally abused. I know for a fact of one employee that departed the company of his own volition, and members of the local (Memphis) management and sales teams spread malicious rumors about this person to clients that he had been fired for viewing inappropriate content on his work computer (a completely fabricated claim) simply as a revenge tactic to damage this person's career and professional opportunities. Daily behavior by several in the company ranged from merely awful and/or petty to downright evil sometimes.

Another corporation mandating RTO

Pros

-Decent PTO -Annual charity event brings a feeling of camaraderie to global staff and benefits many local charities around the world -Recent push to hire internal employees first before going external, with a few exceptions -Continued support for DEI, multiple resource groups within the company

Cons

-After years of successful remote work, employees were suddenly asked to return to office at least 3 days a week, including tracking badge-ins. This has left employees scrambling to find caretaking solutions for children or aging parents, and risks losing valuable team members who made significant life decisions based on the ability to work remotely. No justifiable or measurable rationale has been provided for this policy, only the reiteration that employees are “better together.” Morale has since tanked and people are coming into the office sick -Negligible merit increases, low increases for promotions. You’re better off leaving the company if you want a meaningful salary increase -Leaders are far too focused on acquiring businesses, resulting in the constant restructure of internal entities and staff -The hot desking situation is awful -Meetings after meetings, meetings about meetings

Pros

It is honestly hard to say positives. The culture is changing rapidly and not for the better. Flexible work I guess?

Cons

It is becoming increasingly difficult to want to stay at this company. They have this “oneinforma” initiative that is disorganized and downright idiotic. Theyre trying to implement systems across verticals without actually doing any analysis….really. None. Mandatory RTO for people hired remotely. Not enough resources for projects.
