Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

      - People - The people at Ingage are what make Ingage such a fantastic place to work - Community - Being a Certified B Corp holds Ingage accountable to a triple bottom line of people, planet, and profit, and it's evident in the type of people we attract and the work we do in the community. We get paid for up to 4 hours of volunteer time a month, we can Champion a Cause we're passionate about and the company will match any donations we give, we get a company trip with a guest once a year that's all fun and some community give-back, we get a training stipend, we are assigned coaches who help us get to where we want to be, and much more. - Leadership - The leadership is transparent and encourages employees to stretch and grow to their fullest potential


      I can't think of any cons, except if you are looking to climb the corporate ladder, this likely isn't the place for you. There are plenty of opportunities for growth and advancement, but we are only about 100 people which makes for a shorter ladder.

        Willing to hire people right out of coding boot camp. Good benefits. Lots of good team building activities.


        Unwilling to coach apprentices, especially when they require direction. Don't pay developers that are on the bench waiting for clients. Pose as a virtuous certified B Corp, but in reality are money hungry and shady.

        It sounds like you did not have a good experience as part of our team which we regret to learn here. Your feedback is welcomed because it gives us a chance to reflect on ways we can improve. We don't always get it right, but our dedicated apprentice mentors pour their heart and soul into creating a great learning experience that is balanced with grace and accountability. The only time someone finds themselves without paid bench time is as an hourly consultant of which we employ less than 15%.       I have been invited to a first interview for a digital designer role. I haven't had an interview in about 9 years! (currently 27yrs) I am a bit nervous obviously! They described the interview below we’ll dive into your background, chat about [company name], and do some rapid-fire skill ratings. What is meant by rapid-fire skill ratings? asking me to rate numerically my skills in various software? or something else?

      I want to give my 2 weeks notice this week but my boss is traveling internationally for work and have her calendar fully blocked. Should I just send an email or call her phone? Sorry for the stupid question but I’ve been in the same company for 9 years and I don’t know what’s the standard re: giving notice in a situation like this. I want to leave on good terms
