I have been working at Intapp full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Awesome culture - intelligent people who also have great EQ, who you want to spend time with. Also love the fact that every desk at HQ allows you to stand or sit. Great snacks & Wednesday Free Food Truck for Employees. Employee Appreciation day free massage. Pi day free pie and pizza!

    Cons

As we go through this high growth, please keep the culture open

"Used to have a good culture that treated employees like they were valued but has changed for the worse in the past year"

I have been working at Intapp full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Fancy new office, smart people, lots of new products, there are still quite a few nice people, free snacks, Wednesday lunches.

    Cons

It pains me to say it, but Intapp used to have a better culture. It has really changed in the past six months or so. It may be because of the VC infusion, the string of acquisitions, or a culture shift caused by hiring decisions in the past months, but the company culture has degraded. People are way, way more out for themselves than they used to be: they’re less collegial, more cliquish, and the sense that we’re... all in it together has really started to disappear. The focus has become to produce, produce, produce, whether or not it’s achievable. It was always fast-paced, but it was still on a human scale. It’s sad to see, really. Several good people have left, and I fear that more will unless the higher-ups stop, take stock, are willing to receive and really hear honest feedback, and then give serious thought to what kind of company they want to be going forward.

I have been working at Intapp full-time

    Pros

Intapp is in growth mode with very intelligent people leading the ship. It is exciting to be a part of and watch grow. With growth comes great career opportunity and with a robust pool of smart people to collaborate with it is a prime time at Intapp. However, the culture can be stifling for females and outdated policies don't support growth objectives (more below). Overall, the company has a bright future as long as... it gets it cards in order to support the talent it brings in.

    Cons

It has been mentioned before by another reviewer but worth mentioning again, there are very few females in leadership. It is disheartening. The male dominated culture can make it difficult to be heard as a female as well as progress in ones career. It does not help that parental policies that would support females at Intapp are non-existent making it difficult to even attract female talent. There is no actual... parental leave policy (for mothers or fathers) or returning to work or childcare benefits... benefits that have now become standard within Silicon Valley (and beyond). Intapp needs to rethink this and get with the times in order to support the current talent and growth initiatives.

    Advice to Management

There is a lot of opportunity making Intapp a very attractive place but the antiquated benefits are holding Intapp back causing candidates to turn away and talent to leave, now is the time to invest in Intapp professionals and support the talent that will take this company to the next level.

I have been working at Intapp full-time

    Pros

Good company with a lot of potential. Fantastic opportunities for those with the energy to pursue them and the tenacity to break through the ciloes. The executive team is smart and has an extrodinary vision (but it tends to be a boys club - see cons). Overall good work life balance (if you enforce it!), smart people to collaborate with and exposure to a fast paced tech environment.

    Cons

All that said, there is a major drawback. There are very few women in leadership positions and even less beyond the Sr. Director level. It’s difficult to get your voice heard as a female in some crowds at Intapp. Additionally, there is no actual maternity leave (other than short term disability which comes to 5 weeks at 2/3 pay. Beyond embarrassing when looking around the Valley at other tech companies. Even Midwest... tech companies are more progressive in this areana!). While they have made steps forward to support moms in the workplace (like a mother’s room), the lack of policy to support women and visibility at the leadership level is disheartening. It’s hard to feel valued in a place you aren’t supported. It really doesn’t send a stellar message to females nor help to attract and retain female talent. From the inside it seems like the company struggles to scale and attract/retain the right talent. A large portion of this, I believe is because of not just the normal issues a company goes through as it grows exponentially but also because of the antiquated policies that keep groups ciloed and forces women aside if they choose to take time for their families.

    Advice to Management

Intapp has so much potential. It’s time to up the game when it comes to supporting female career progression and workplace various needs (i.e an actual maternity leave that is competitive!).

I have been working at Intapp full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very nice people, great friendly culture. The average age is higher at Intapp than at a typical Silicon Valley software company, which makes it a more pleasant place for 40-somethings, and there's no ageism in hiring. Solid executive team and CEO, and a very solid business. They are strong and steady as a company.

    Cons

Operationally still struggling at times, despite improvements in recent years.

I worked at Intapp full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Very successful in engaging some of the largest law firms in the world. Provides the opportunity to work with the best of the best in legal IT under a name that people highly respect. Very professional approach. It can be an excellent place to establish connections.

    Cons

While the company was very successful, they were still figuring out how to share that success with employees via some type of equity program. They did a good job of promoting a culture that would make you feel invested in the company but hadn't actually communicated and formalized an equity program to give an actual investment (but that was supposed to be coming together). It felt like a startup without the... opportunity to cash in if the company excelled.
