I have been working at IntegriChain full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great atmosphere, good people to work with, and a singular commitment to delivering a high-quality product and staying on top of trends in the marketplace. Flexibility to research new technologies and apply them to new data problems.

    Cons

Surprising amount of red tape for such a small company, especially where new software is concerned. Focus on customer products tends to deprioritize necessary improvements to internal software systems. Training programs, while getting better, are a little thin.

    Pros

+ Smart and sensible Director of Development
+ Smart and sensible Director of Data
+ They were trying to have a startup culture to attract smart engineers

    Cons

    - Some of the development team members hate change, and would not be able to last a day in a real software engineering position.
    - This shop is big on Princeton university graduates, and hires "friends" who aren't very good in their positions
    - This shop also houses incompetent VPs and lacks a CTO type role which is needed quiet heavily for this company to succeed
-Sales team needs policing, They makeup random numbers just to make sales, and significantly down plays the efforts of the development teams.

    Advice to Management

+ Don't hire friends, hire some real professional
+ If every one is a director in your company there is no policing going on
+ Hierarchy type management style does not work well for your organization
+ Get a better sales team
    + Get better engineers
+ Change your Director in charge of buying server this person clearly does not know what he is doing and hates change... which is bad since he is in charge of technology.
+ Stop supporting "Engineers" who can be replaced with simple shell scripts, and paying them fat salaries just because they're old friends.

    Pros

    • Friendly colleagues
    • Excellent office location

    Cons

    • Lack of upward mobility
    • Illusions of a growth plan that doesn't exist
    • Unapologetically inadequate pay
    • Drinking in the office starts every day around 3pm... (Maybe a pro for some people. If you're not a heavy drinker, this probably is going to become more of a nuisance to you than anything else if you're actually trying to get things done)

    Advice to Management

I've interviewed 3 of your employees since my departure...You should really pay your employees better. Also, it's vary distasteful for the CEO to be talking about his boat in front of his workers who make next to nothing.

I have been working at IntegriChain full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1. Excellent work-life balance with ability to work from home and flexible hours
    2. Good people to work with who have excellent upside career potential

    Cons

    1. Terrible pay
    2. Very little communication
    3. Internal advancement/promotion is very difficult
    4. Complete lack of internal investment (technology and people)
    5. Controlled by their customer demands (i.e., giving too much away for free and customizing everything)
    6. Upper management, although they have an open-door policy, does not truly listen to employee ideas
    7. Little loyalty to long-time employees

    Advice to Management

    1. Communicate a clear vision and stick to it; too much fluff with no execution
    2. Don't give in to every customer demand and stop catering/customizing everything. A product should be the same product across every customer. We have no leverage over our clients, but instead it's the complete opposite
    3. Invest internally! Fix the tools and pay the right people more

I worked at IntegriChain full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

+ Eagerness of engineers, and support engineers to do better.
+ Research & Developmental Ideas from a select few engineers.
    + Encouraging Direct Managers

    Cons

    -poor work environment
    -lack of team communications
    -misuse of technology
-dis allocation of funding for un necessary expenditures
-Too many meetings spanning entire days
-Too much planning, with little time to work
-Too many people have mediating jobs instead of actual jobs.
-You don't get awarded unless senior management knows of your existence. Which is an issue because senior management only listens to a select few, and knows little about what is actually going on in the company, let alone know about the technology that is being developed.

    Advice to Management

Spend more on your engineering team, if you don't have a product what are you going to sell?

    Pros

IntegriChain supports the pharmaceutical industry with commercial insight into trade channels. It's nice to have the wind in your sails.

    Cons

The pharmaceutical industry is resistant to change and under margin pressure. IntegriChain is a high-growth start-up company with limited resources.

    Advice to Management

Listen to customers but don't stray from your strategy. Take care of your human assets. Talent wins in the end.

    Pros

    -great co-workers
    -interesting data projects
    -opportunity for advancement
    -collaborative work environment
-good benefits, which now include student loan reimbursement
-getting more structure and processes in place than before

    Cons

Still growing and working out kinks, but its to be expected at a fast growing company. the pro's definitely outweigh any cons. There is a lot of work to be done, but it is manageable for a good work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

keep moving in the right direction!

I worked at IntegriChain full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They like to bring in a lot of junk food. I guess they justify the snacks as additional compensation for lowballing the pay.

    Cons

Really low salaries attract inexperienced and desperate staff to mill data and babysit clients. They hire staff for potential connections at big pharma for new business leads then get rid of you after they're thru. The 2 top guys are insincere and obnoxious salesmen who are desperate to be admired by their young staff. Selling blinded projected data then back peddling to meet the real data at the end is a pretty good con to big pharma who can't project pharmacy inventories.

    Advice to Management

Don't try so hard to ingratiate yourselves to the young people you employ. Giving out chips and beer and making the office culture "ultra cool" to be liked doesn't work. Close your door when you talk on the phone to your family. Nobody cares how interesting you think your life is and being loud just makes you look desperate. Hire qualified senior staff instead of your "buddies".

I have been working at IntegriChain full-time

    Pros

We are growing rapidly and you have opportunity to grow in the company. We now have an HR department and it's given the company more structure without being rigid. We haven't lost the start-up edge. Management has been transparent about their plans and I'm excited about the future of the company.

    Cons

Because we're growing so much it can be hectic. The positive side of that is there's a lot of opportunity for you to grow with the company and be promoted. I've seen it happen a lot the past few months.

    Advice to Management

People are skeptical of change. Continue the transparency so we all continue to feel trusted and included in the company.
