It's not as good as it was

Pros

You will work with some of the loveliest people, as long as they aren't C level. They are the redeeming factor.

Cons

Bullying behaviour from the top, discrimination too. It feels like you are constantly fighting a losing battle because the management team have a vision that doesn't exist. They do not listen to their employees at all, especially female ones, and it gets worse as time goes on! I think management needs a complete re-vamp, as it's very old fashioned. They will promise you a bonus which you'll never receive, they will promise you a learning budget and then withhold it to save money - which happens regularly. Management aren't bothered about progression because that means spending money on their employees. Pay is less than average and they will try and, as mentioned above, they will say that's because of the learning budget and bonus(which doesn't exist). I feel sorry for those who are working so hard to make it better as they're made to take the wrap for crap decisions.

Thanks for your feedback - we’re really sorry you feel this way. Our new Delivery Group Director, Zoe, has recently gathered feedback from employees across the company and we are launching a range of initiatives based on that feedback to build on our strengths and improve on the things we can do better. We do not tolerate bullying or discrimination here, and we take these claims very seriously. We need more details to be able to investigate effectively, please contact careers@inviqa.com with more information so that we can help.

Pros

- friendly environment, everyone wants to help each other, sense of camaraderie. - very clever developers - internal conference is great

Cons

- lack of diversity - disconnect between management and employees - the only reason to join Inviqa was the very talented employees, due to poor management the majority of these have left or are leaving - another big pro was the L&D opportunities but they have become far and few between

A lot of speedy promotions and special treatments

Pros

Used to be a nice place and it is still surviving

Cons

Many had incredible promotions within only six months only to charge clients an higher rate and to retain some of the staff (as many left after an acquisition). As results many seniors don’t have enough experience and humility to truly help when is needed. Some have special treatment which allow them to do whatever they like, pick clients they want to work with etc. management is now very cliquey. Client engagement has changed: from interesting and 4/6weeks long projects to small on demand UI changes to maintain big websites. I have heard they will now go to another crazy round of promotions to make up for the roles that can’t find candidates for. This has created an environment we’re knowledge is tacked and not recognised when is genuine. Often project are underscoped and designers have to use their personal time to meet deadlines.CEO was placed on garden leave.

It's taken me a while to respond to this review, because there is a lot here to reply to, much of which is very surprising to hear. Firstly, I'm sorry that you were clearly so upset when you left, and that there were obviously a lot of misunderstandings. There has been a lot of turbulence and change since the Havas acquisition, as is always the way with these things, and it's clear that had a really negative effect on you. I assume from your review that you were part of the XD team. Certainly, we have promoted some people within this team, and across the agency, because we felt they were ready - in the same way that we always have done. In fact, we now have a more measured and thoughtful promotions approach than we did prior to being part of Havas. We have also hired new folks into the team, who are doing really well and enjoying being a part of Inviqa. I'm not sure what is "crazy" about any of that. In terms of seniors being helpful - our engagement survey results show that one of the top reasons people enjoy working here is the collaborative, helpful colleagues they have - 71% of our people were really positive about our collaboration and communication, and 83% felt their manager genuinely cared about their wellbeing. I'm proud of that culture, and I'm very sorry if your experiences didn't reflect that. I also want to be clear that we have never promoted anyone simply so we could "charge clients more" - that's quite insulting, actually. We work hand in hand with our clients and that's why we have such good, trusted relationships with them. However, if someone is doing the work of, say, a senior for a client, we think it's fair to recognise that both for the individual via promotion to the level they are working at, and to the client in terms of the value they are getting from that person. My sense is that regardless of what I say here, it won't make a big difference to how you feel. I am saddened that you feel so negatively about your time here, and I wish you all the best for the future.
