I worked at Keystone RV full-time

    Pros

They pay well, based on piece rate and some of the group leaders are okay to work with

    Cons

Very political, if you're chummy with the group leaders or management you'll do fine. If you're a good worker you'll have to pick up the slack for others but you'll get paid the same and won't even get a thank you

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes and appreciate the good workers you have instead of treating them poorly and then hiring two people to replace them

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Keystone RV full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

weekly attendance bonus, conditional automatic 40hrs, have most of the day left after work

    Cons

Management doesn't know or doesn't care about whats goin on.
Management doesn't listen to employee suggestions but may steal your ideas to use as their own.
    Focused on quantity not quality.
Will write you up for things you had no part in (i.g. you get wrote up for something another group does(even though they know you did nothing to deserve the writeup, they wont take it back) )
Time clock is inconsistent with local time, every clock in the building says different times, varying by up to as much as 15 minutes.

    Advice to Management

Your employees are important, and have important ideas. Focus more on quality of the work, and slow down production a bit. Maybe if the employees can focus on quality of work, there wouldn't be a days worth of parts in the repair lines at all times.

I worked at Keystone RV (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I worked there for 11 years and for a trailer factory they are very up to date and innovative. They communicate shutdowns and forecasts as well as anyone

    Cons

The negative to working there is that the more you do the more is your job the next day. There are huge differences pertaining to work load among departments.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget where you came from. And don't forget who got you there. Keystone gives its true power to its managers. As you move up don't forget to look back to make sure you didn't leave anyone behind.

    Pros

None. Layoffs occur during Christmas for two weeks when the lines shut down to do inventory and other internals. After waiting week unemployment benefits can be drawn until production resumes.

    Cons

Abusive environment with rediculously high turnover. Negativity surrounds the labor force with constant complaining and blaming and backstabbing. Institutionalized culture of fear.

    Advice to Management

    Leadership training.

I have been working at Keystone RV full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you work in a good plant you get done early.

    Cons

Quality bosses coming in and shutting the line down. Quality bosses sneaking around watching you and writing you up for doing the slightest thing wrong.

    Advice to Management

If the plant audits are good let them run.

Great people work here! Management is understanding and easy to talk to. Training is ongoing and thorough, everyone wants to help everyone succeed. The Keystone RV family is one worth joining.

    Cons

Raises aren't offered often, but promotions are based on performance. OT is hard to come by..
