Pros

Office located near sales force park

Cons

This is like a "B" level company that hunts for "A+" talent. In interview they promised exciting challenges and cutting-edge stuff, but reality is mostly boring routine tasks – mostly because whole architecture is way over-engineered and everything takes forever. You constantly feel like your position is not secure and could be gone any day.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take all reviews seriously, whether positive or critical, as they help us reflect on how we can continue to improve as an organization. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet the expectations set during the interview process. Our work can at times involve foundational or iterative efforts, particularly as we build scalable systems, and we recognize that this may not align with every individual’s interests or preferred pace. We continually work to better communicate the fast-paced nature of our company and day-to-day responsibilities so candidates can make informed decisions. Regarding leadership and culture, we strive to foster an environment built on trust, accountability, and open communication. Feedback—both direct and anonymous—is encouraged internally, and we regularly evaluate how we can improve as leaders and as a company. We appreciate you sharing your perspective and invite you to take the opportunity to chat with the People Ops team or a member of the Leadership team.

Set Up to Struggle, Not to Succeed

Pros

I found the bottom of my career

Cons

If you’re considering Levelpath, understand that the culture is deeply dysfunctional and unsupportive. Communication is poor to the point of being obstructive, and collaboration is essentially nonexistent. You repeatedly hit a wall where no one is willing to help, share context, or work together. A large portion of the team is based in Latvia, while the U.S. presence feels largely cosmetic and a way for the company to claim it has engineering in San Francisco. That imbalance is not subtle in practice. Knowledge is tightly siloed, critical context is withheld, and there is a pervasive sense that others benefit when you struggle. The environment is competitive in a corrosive way, where people are incentivized to let you fail so they can look better by comparison. You leave feeling set up to struggle rather than set up to succeed. Management is overbearing and controlling, with little to no trust placed in engineers. Autonomy is effectively nonexistent. Decisions are top‑down, micromanaged, and often disconnected from reality on the ground. The planning process is chaotic and counterproductive, constantly manufacturing urgency and forcing you into artificial time crunches. The result is predictable stress, burnout, and worse outcomes. Not speed, not quality, and certainly not sustainability. Daily meetings are scheduled at 6am. If you value work life balance, have a family, or want a schedule compatible with having a life outside of work, this is not a family friendly environment. I strongly recommend that readers look closely at the dates of the glowing reviews. Many, if not all of the positive reviews, are clustered within the same week. That timing is not organic and does not reflect the day to day reality you experience here. You can draw your own conclusions.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience at Levelpath didn’t meet your expectations. Levelpath is a globally distributed company, with teams across the U.S. and Europe. Working across time zones is a core part of how we operate, and at times that does mean early or late meetings. We try to be thoughtful about balancing global collaboration with sustainable schedules, and we understand that this setup isn’t the right fit for everyone. Autonomy is something we take seriously. Engineers are trusted to own their work, help shape technical direction, and make meaningful decisions. Like many fast-growing, early-stage startups, we pair that autonomy with high expectations, clear accountability, and a strong focus on execution and follow-through. The pace and ambiguity that come with operating in a competitive market can feel demanding, especially for those who prefer a more predictable structure. We value transparency and use feedback to continue improving through sharing honest feedback, either positive or negative. We appreciate you sharing your perspective and wish you the best in your next chapter. For candidates considering Levelpath, we encourage you to speak directly with team members during the interview process to get a clear sense of whether our culture, pace, and global structure align with what you’re looking for.

Pros

Founders connections and their ability to open conversations. Product is strong and innovation is quick.

Cons

No transparency. Inbound leads are blind rfps and conversations with prospects who don’t have budget or actual projects. Longer Product doesn’t compete with competition. Late to the party. Sales cycles are minimum 6–9 months on average. Lack of integrations. Most orgs up market are not ready for a full rip and replace. Start to go deeper with the product.

Thank you for sharing this feedback. Building a company from the ground up is hard, and the growing pains you've described are familiar to most early-stage companies. Some of the practices you mention, including our in‑office expectations and early standups, are intentional choices about how we collaborate and build our product. The early, synchronous start also helps us stay aligned across a global team and several time zones, so we can move quickly without losing coordination. On compensation and benefits, we benchmark regularly to keep our packages competitive, and we adjust as we grow. We fully cover employee premiums for medical, dental, and vision plans through national carriers, and contribute to employee HSAs. Career growth at Levelpath is tied to performance and impact. Employees advance by doing great work and expanding their scope. We back that with regular conversations about feedback and advancement, and clear opportunities for greater responsibility and promotion when the impact is there. Recognizing and elevating contributions is a core value. The requirements of the business can also change rapidly, and we need to adapt just as fast to address broader market realities. We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective. As we grow, we'll continue investing in our culture, our people's development, and the value we deliver for customers.
