I have been working at MSB full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great folks that have been around for a while, easy to work with, care about each other

    Cons

Nit picking, arbitrary, micro-managing, miniscule raise-giving, leadership. Reports, and reporting, meeting and discussing, with little getting done on time except by sheer force of will. Will put up with long term affair from senior employees but will fire someone for taking a golf tee.

    Advice to Management

Take the long view, not the short view

    Pros

helping to save people from garnishment, educating others of their responsibilities that they may not have been aware of prior. Also the small family ofc environment was very personal and helpful.

    Cons

life starts going by faster working on a month to month basis and starting all over again the next month

    Advice to Management

    provide more training

    Pros

The old leadership team from MSB is world class. They have created a great strategy and a solid market story.

    Cons

CoreLogic seems to get in the way. Lots of red tape since the acquisition. It seems like local leadership is pulled into the corporate BS.

    Advice to Management

    Stay focused!

    Advice to Management

    Leadership needed

I worked at MSB full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are great people and great managers still there.

    Cons

With the constant stream of new senior management coming in, the only thing you can count on is change. Change is not inherently bad or good---but constant change with moving goal posts lead to frustrated clients and staff.

Lots of talented managers and staff have left as a result.

Compensation is on the low end, but not dramatically so.

Overall the office atmosphere is tense.

    Advice to Management

I know you like to protect your territory but clients don't really care about your political agendas.

I have been working at MSB full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Basically the place hires good folks that just want to get along and do good work. Weekends are sacrosanct.

    Cons

Management exemplifies the current trend of plutocratic hobbling of the common worker. Critical thinking and a literate employees have become dangerous to those in management who want to celebrate orthodoxy over dialogue, emotion over reason and ideological certainty over thoughtfulness. Middle management adopt this attitude and enforce conformity. As a result, the product is becoming an emperor with no clothes, and good employees do not last long in this toxic environment. Wages are not keeping up with living costs, yet workers fear losing their jobs.

    Advice to Management

None required, they will not listen anyway.

    Pros

Friendly co-workers. Flexibility. Small company with team-focused approach.

    Cons

Knowledge of the underlying problems is ignored. Only the symptoms are addressed. Management does not understand what employees jobs truly consist of and as a result, things are constantly in state of flux,

    Advice to Management

Sustain from the bottom up, not Sales and New Products down.

    Pros

    Many helpful and professional colleagues.

    Cons

Business lacks energy and focus. Multiple management changes in a relatively short period of time and lack of willingness to replace the dead wood.
