I worked at MTI Electronics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is great for the amount of work you do. It's basically putting Part A into Part B kind of work.

    Cons

Literally ZERO chances of moving up. They hire outside hires for any higher up positions. DO NOT MAKE THIS JOB YOUR CAREER! The environment at this company is very odd. Almost nobody hangs out with others outside of work, and at work there are a lot of cliques mainly based on different languages spoken and cultural backgrounds. Very much a factory culture.

    Advice to Management

I know most of the time factory workers aren't the brightest bulbs in the bunch but there might be a few that know what they're talking about, that should consider listening to. There are also a few bright people that deserve the chance to move up from their positions. People that have worked there for more than 10 years without moving up deserve a chance.

I worked at MTI Electronics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    the employees are nice people.
    Good cafeteria

    Cons

the general management does not care about employees. They practice a praise in private and punish in public approach. Moments of embarrassment occur often as mistakes are made aware in front of all employees. In the year I worked many employees left because they could not work in such a bad management environment.

    Advice to Management

Culture needs a revamp as it has no benefiting programs for employees. Currently just got to work and go home so there is little environment that makes employees look forward to coming to work. Punishing employees in front of everyone doesn't motivate at all. Develop a program to reward employees for good work as there is nothing in place currently.

I worked at MTI Electronics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Automation for assembly, great place to learn and work. Pay raises and reward based on your performance and no butteringup is needed. Just do you job, show results and MTI will take care of you.

    Cons

There are still some bad apples on the floor that need to be fixed. I wish the company can take them throw them out sooner........but I understand that they need to follow their disciplinary procedures by the book

    Advice to Management

There is a reason company has performed and survived for so long........good management.
