Good pay! Commission based pay but you do have a weekly minimum so you'll never be broke. Moving up in the company is fast too.
Cons
12 hour days. If you don't meet your goal then they'll want you to "night merch" & kinda shame you if you don't. Some shady things behind the management too.
Working at Mainstream was always exhausting. They aren't clear about how much you would be getting paid. They were making their business sound super good with moving up and being able to do special things but then when it comes to show it doesn't seem much of a change to the employees. It only seems to be entry level sales. You do sale wax at gas stations and it's tough to grow. While I was personally working I had worked with another team employee who had started working at the time I had been working with mainstream for a few weeks as well. I was informed by management that I would have to educate my team member and as a newbie it was more of a challenge. On the day of training the other employee, the gas station that we were supposed to be working at had an ongoing electricity outage that had affected the gas station from preventing any people to use their pumps because they had no way of taking cash or helping them electronically for gas. During that time I had contacted my manager to help us move to another gas station because we weren't making any sells with the gas station closing. The whole day my manager wouldn't move us to a new location but told us to remain there. On that day the management had decided to let me go simply because I didn't make any sells. Which was totally not my fault. I honestly beleive they make their money by hiring and then firing.
Great culture, atmosphere and staff
Management is very helpful when it comes to development (just ask questions)
Attitude/energy is everything, so if you're sour or unmotivated, this isn't the place
for you
Better than expected starting salaries with bonuses every week and ability to earn more with commission
Unbelievable growth opportunities: My team pushes me to be the best I can be and sometimes that isn't easy, but hard work pays off
Cons
What Mainstream does isn't hard but it's not for everybody
Everyone in the business starts entry-level--EVERYONE, including all my current management staff
They expect results so if you're not able to apply what they teach you during training, the growth opportunity is also less applicable
