    I have been working at Mark's full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Large, Canadian organization! Low turnover at Store Mgr Level and above! Good products with good innovation. Company is definitely trying to move into the current century

    Cons

    Disorganized method of doing business, Respect for People- has left the building!, No one ever talks about sales!!!???? Absent leadership from the Regional VP levels.... "ignore it and it will go away" seems to be the mindset. People need to see PEOPLE!

    Advice to Management

    DM's visit stores, regularly. AVP's don't. Not sure why this is allowed? Get out of the office and speak to the people who can give valuable information regarding your business trends, customer feedback, and give these people some recognition...

    I have been working at Mark's part-time

    Pros

    Good people and flexible work schedule. They have good product with an average employee discount. They do support staff who want to advance.

    Cons

    Company is trying to maximize sales with minimal staff. This is affecting staff moral and customer service. The stores are starting to look messy because there is not enough time to do everything.

    Advice to Management

    More staff is needed to complete tasks.

    I worked at Mark's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Salary and benefits are adequate,
    Good managers and team members at the Account Manager role ( Corporate Sales Managers) and Uniform division.
    Good team members on the Business Development team.

    Cons

    Retailer trying to be a wholesaler ( Total Fail)
    Lack of B2B tools, processes needed to be successful.
    Almost irrelevant in Ontario as a Company
    Very poor culture towards employees
    Some manager that are green & clueless

    Advice to Management

    Get proper managers , from the industry , with knowledge and understanding of the business and customers. Ontario is the biggest market, but without proper tools targets & processes success will only be a dream.
    In Ontario we don't tolerate abusive managers from Calgary.

    Pros

    So awesome. Very great experience. Awesome manager very fair and very good at what she does. She doesnt micro manage but she also doesnt let you slack off. Awesome co workers and everything.

    Cons

    Very repetitive work, not much to keep you occupied when its night time and not busy. Sometimes not enough employees working on the floor.

    Advice to Management

    Loved working here and dont have much to say for advice, wish i could work here again! Great 2 years there.
