I have been working at MegaPath full-time

    Pros

Good sense of teamwork in the customer support rank and file. Free coffee in the break room?

    Cons

Customer support management, from the leads all the way up to managers, and especially the holdovers from Speakeasy are all entrenched and beleaguered. They say they are here to support their teams, but it's lip service. If something goes wrong, even if as an employee you did their best and followed protocol, but the situation soured, you get fried. When an employee actually needs help, all you get from support leadership is platitudes followed by official documentation in your employee file. Also pay rate is significantly below market for skillset required. You will be broke working here.

    Advice to Management

Megapath is not Speakeasy. Actually advocate for your staff. This job is incredibly hard because everything is broken. Maybe since your tech skills have atrophied you forget what it's really like. This isn't the old days, and you've been consumed by Megapath's rotten corporate culture. If an employee brings a concern to you, actually address it. Don't feign interest, do nothing, and then later when the employee gets burned by the very issue they brought to your attention, punish them. You're not Megapath hall monitors. Your job should be to protect and nurture your staff.

I worked at MegaPath full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Independent work - flexible work schedules - ability to work from home

    Cons

Company was failing. Company was actively being shopped for last three years. Morale was an issue as customers were leaving in droves and company was laying off staff.

    Advice to Management

Focus on Front line employees - not on Senior Leadership. Seek new blood for Senior Leadership. MegaPath has bad habit of recycling old managers with stale ideas.
