I have been working at Meridian Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great health benefits, great hours,

    Cons

Horrible management, horrible supervisors, they claim all about a team environment but it's all about who sucks up and who doesn't, all about who the bosses like and who they don't, they are not there to help you grow and thrive, the pay is horrible for what is expected of you, co workers just stab you to get ahead rather than to help you,

    Advice to Management

Get new ones who are there to manage, not play on phones all day long and talk about social weekends

I worked at Meridian Health full-time

    Pros

A great place to affect one-on-one special needs attention and development.

    Cons

Communication from upper middle management down is horrible. Despite how well you do with the client, it's all about how much money you are making for Meridian.

    Advice to Management

Get Real. Two-tongued businesses are difficult to work handle from either side of the fence. Your bottom line cannot look better by beating your employees to produce more revenue which makes them quit because it hurts client relations.

    Cons

    Short staffed quite frequently/:

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! You're all putting in many hours to try and please the staff here and make this hospital the best! Appreciate it!

I have been working at Meridian Health part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Decent starting pay
Most coworkers are willing to help teach you anything you need to know. Thankfully, because you will not receive assistance from the supervisor

    Cons

schedule constantly changes without being told of changes
poor management- managers should lead instead of continually threaten
    low morale and continual turnover
constant text messages when you are not working

    Advice to Management

Place people in supervisory and management roles that understand how to create teams and drive morale instead of leading with fear and threats. If you are continually hiring for the same departments you need to step back and look at the root causes of turnover

I have been working at Meridian Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great Benefits, plenty of room to move up or around depending on your education and skills. Big emphasis on training.

    Cons

Crippled with bureaucracy. More concerned with adding accolades saying how great they are than actually putting the effort to be great. Dismal pay scale. (Spend less on outside consultants and "new" process improvements and new business lines and more on salary). Horrible work life balance and almost unrealistic productivity requirements.

    Advice to Management

Lose some of the ego and last century rigidly and actually implement the programs you espouse, ie Disney Philosophy to name one.

I have been working at Meridian Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good benefits..end of story

    Cons

More work, more to do, faster pace but less help.

    Advice to Management

Forget per office budget and get the offices the help they need.

I have been working at Meridian Health full-time

    Pros

Excellent company! I only planned on staying there a year or two but here I am 10 years later loving it. Now I understand why people have been there for 30+ years. It's like a second family.

    Cons

Apparently the pay isn't as high as other hospitals. But it really is an excellent company. They provide a lot of benefits.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the bad employees. They suck the energy out of the good employees. This company should higher it's expectations. A lot of people would love to work for this company. No need to keep employees just because they have been there for while.
