Pros

Exceptional Team of smart and dedicated people Outstanding list of supportive Customers Global Reach Extraordinary Technology platform that Scales

Cons

Fast-paced, constantly evolving environment High expectations and ownership early on — junior staff are given lots of responsibility, which can be rewarding but also intense Surrounded by high-caliber talent — working with smart, driven people raises the bar Opportunity to make an impact — if you’re proactive, your work will matter

Thank you for your fantastic review. We’re thrilled to hear that you’re enjoying your time at Modulr and feel energised by the team, technology, and global reach. We’re proud of the smart, dedicated people who make Modulr what it is, and it’s great to hear that our platform and customer partnerships are making a strong impression. Your feedback on the fast-paced environment and early ownership is really valuable, we know it can be intense at times, and we’re continuing to explore ways to support our teams through clear communication, structured onboarding, and leadership development. We also appreciate your advice to keep communicating our vision and global goals - it’s something we’re committed to doing consistently as we grow. Thanks again for sharing your experience.

Pros

competitive base salary decent staff benefits peers are amazing people to work with

Cons

mandatory 4 day week in office, your attendance is monitored and this will be enforced by disciplinary action CEO is as far removed from his workforce as australia is from the arctic circle company performs usual virtue signalling around mental health and wellbeing yet these reviews show that the culture is fairly unsupportive. Prime example, announcing the mandatory 4 day office policy 2 weeks before christmas with the stance that you either comply or leave offices are only accessible by public transport. You cannot park anywhere near the offices making it pretty inconvenient for people who dont live within walking distance significant amount of jobs now outsourced to India working environment has steadily become more tense and uncomfortable due to changes in company policies and culture, work loads have increased. Its no longer a fun place to work. Numerous employee's impacted and frustrated at leadership decisions. high staff turnover, company struggling to retain employee's c-suite members have no desire to listen the feedback or concerns of the workforce

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review and your honest feedback. It's great to hear your positive views on our amazing people and our benefits packages so thanks for sharing those. We understand people's frustration at our Office First approach, which we needed to move to as we weren't seeing the level of consistency we needed for our previous approach of two days in the office. We asked all people managers to spend time with their teams to go through how this would work for them and where we could support with any concerns they have - and we have lots of solutions in place to help anyone who needs it. We're really grateful for everyone's support with increasing their time in the office to support our business. Thanks for being part of the team!

Pros

Modulr has a great range of products in the payments space and have serve some of the largest fintech startups in the UK.

Cons

The atmosphere is poisonous and some of the reviews do not surprise me at all. Modulr portrays a certain culture but this cannot be further from the truth. You could argue that due to the fast growth and the changing environment that the toxicity was to be expected. In reality this business is operated by inexperienced managers and the sycophantic behavior is off the scale. Many loyal members of staff have left the business and I see that this trend has continued. CTO, CMO, Change in CRO, CPO, Heads of Product, Heads of Onboarding, Sales, Marketing, Product, Developers, the list is endless. The product roadmap is like trying to administer medicine to the dead. The biggest issue is the inability to onboard customers properly. Its quite frankly comical and bewildering to witness such nonsense when most of the competitors have nailed the process. For anyone thinking about joining this business please think very carefully as it has affected my confidence, trust and general thoughts about my future career goals. It has taken me some time to recover from what was a truly draining experience working for this company.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and thank you for recognising our great range of products - we are proud of the innovative products we create for our customers. We are sorry to read the less positive feedback about your time at Modulr. Being a fast-scaling business means that we constantly need to refine the way we work, and whilst we don't always get everything right we continue to learn and evolve as a business. Change across Modulr is a natural, and expected, part of our growth and we continually strive to understand what works, what doesn’t, and what could be even better.
