I have been working at New Look part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

discount used to be 50% off everything except sale and concessions but now it has gone down to 40% which is still quite good, but 50 was better obviously. because the rota is never set in stone you are able to let management know if you cannot make a shift which they will then probably ask you to find someone to cover it but if not they are usually understanding

    Cons

They will post the rota and say "it may change" well what's the point of posting it then? How can anyone make plans if they don't know what hours they're working until sometimes 2 days before...if you're looking to work a lot of hours this is not the place to go as sometimes you will only get 4-8 hours a week.

I have been working at New Look (More than a year)

    Pros

    staff!!
    staff discount
flexibility - stick to your availability
    understanding with unexpected situations.
    Good location

    Cons

sometimes management can be patronising (mainly one specific one in my case)
calling in sick time is very early, i don't agree with the rule for that.
sometimes customers can be rude but we can't say anything back to them.
sometimes management give staff rules that they themselves do not stick to.
They may approve holiday but sometimes do not put holiday pay on the rota if they give you a shift that week.

    Advice to Management

if you tell staff not to talk, then don't expect them to enjoy coming to work. Creating relationships with colleagues is really important in motivating staff to be happy. If they are happy they will deliver better service.
