Pros

Getting off everyday at 4:30pm is nice. There are 2 shifts for outbound reps 7:00-3:30 and 8:00-4:30. They do raffles for Texans tickets and Rocket games tickets so that's nice. Every year the CEO gives turkeys to all the employees in the Houston office for thanksgiving. I would say if you have worked in a call center before then this might be perfect for you simply because most call centers are 24 hours and PFS is a day shift kind of place. The latest some work is like a 10-7pm shift. There are no crazy hours which is good

Cons

This is a medical call center. So if you have never worked in a call center I would not advise to do this. You are calling out to people about their medical bills. The company does not like to call themselves a "collection agency" but that is exactly what they are. You are calling people all day trying to collect money on their medical bills. Basically harrassing people because some will tell you that when you are on the phone with them. They micromanage everything. Your break time is watched and you receive emails ALL DAY about how much break time you have left. If you are in the bathroom to long they question where you are. You can't breathe. Lunch is 30 minutes that's it.

Pros

The job is easy, training is extensive, and you can market what you learn here to better employers.

Cons

Pays 30% less than the industry average for medical billing. The cheapest health insurance plan will cost you >30% of your gross annual income (between premiums and the five-figure deductible) before paying out on any benefits. The corona virus response was two, now empty, bottles of hand sanitizer in the breakroom. No assurances have been offered to employees regarding their job security in at a time where the CDC is recommending self-quarantine. They are remaining open in defiance of the Harris county Stay Home Work Safe order. Three weeks after the CDC recommended working from home where possible, PFS has failed to make any effort towards compliance, despite remotely servicing clients on the East and West Coasts to begin with. I really can't give low enough marks for how the executive team has responded to this historical crisis.

First of all we are not a medical “billing” company.

Pros

I have actually never wrote a review about a company before so this is my first. For the most part the staff is very welcoming nice friendly fun to be around. It is a paycheck. It’s not a set schedule where you have to go to the bathroom at a certain time we have to get lunch at a certain time. This is very flexible and does work well with staff . If you work for this company currently or have excepted an offer from this company a piece of advice go and do your job do not talk to nobody say good morning goodbye. From experience when you open up to people they will throw you under the bus to save their own skin so forewarned .

Cons

Be warned of the nice people... even though some are truly respectable and Honese but some are not. There is a lot of office drama, he said she said type of environment. People throw you under the bus to protect themselves. A majority of the drama starts with senior management. People do not want to take ownership for what they do wrong and they place the blame on others this is part of the reason why am no longer employed with this company I cannot work ethically work for any company that allows this type of behavior and overlooks it. Vacation time is very little health insurance is extremely high for family of two or more you’re paying more than $800 a month unless you go with an HSA plan. Which by the way the company does not contribute . The pay unfortunately it does match most of your customer service pay in the area if you look at Duke healthcare, unc and wake med typically those customer service representatives are making anywhere from 13 to 18 an hour depending on experience that is typically what they will pay for entry-level insurance staff. To be perfectly clear this is not a call center job.
