Pros

Interesting application that is needed in the industries that Parsable serves.

Cons

Lots. The future of the company is highly questionable. Ask about customer churn over the last four years and ask how many new customers they’ve brought on. The former outweighs the latter. It’s poorly managed, undercapitalized, no referenceable customers, outdated and lackluster technology. If you’re considering joining, do ask how many people hit quota over the last four years. If they tell you more than one, they’re lying.

Pros

Very little oversight and open ideas. Its easy to try new things. great community, wonderful peers

Cons

They lie to employees, press and probably even investors. Boys club. Games of Thrones culture. Lack of accountability. Favoritism

Pros

Smart people, great product, huge possible market. Industry is waiting to use such a product to replace paper.

Cons

In April 2020 Parsable laid off 40 people although management had told in all-hands just shortly before that there was enough money for the rest of the year. Also that we were planning a new investment series and that investors were very eager to give us money. Not long before the layoffs a new CTO was hired who brought some engineers into Parsable with him. During layoffs many longtime employees were fired but not one of teh CTO's new people. Four months later Parsable announced a $60M investment round. Lots new jobs were opened with many for refilling the same positions that were fired in April. Now they have laid off 50 more last December just before Christmas and the team page on their website shows also four!! toplevel executives gone, including that CTO. This is not "normal ups and downs associated with startup life" or "usual growing pains". It is a startup trying to keep alive. Don't waste your talent here but look for a job elesewhere where leadership know what they are doing and treat the staff more morally.
