Leadership is the fundamental problem at this business. There is no clear product strategy, and senior management have historically been unable or unwilling to push back on customer demands, leaving the development team constantly pulled in directions outside of their original scope.
Sales and Marketing are not aligned with what the development team actually delivers, which creates constant friction and misrepresentation of the product to customers.
Verbal commitments and promises made by senior management are not honoured. If something is not in writing and in your contract, do not rely on it.
The culture at the top is one where concerns raised internally are ignored rather than addressed. This is not a business where speaking up is welcomed or rewarded.
