Pros

Believe it or not, there are some pros to working here. I've gotten to know people better and realize what I really want when I choose a company. People put forth their best foot forward on first meetings. That means you as an interviewee and them as interviewer. Read the reviews here closely and discern which ones are from co-founders, friends, and actual hires. This company has made me grateful for all the things I took for granted before. Experienced team members, work life balance, a politic-free work environment, training, a supportive manager who's honest with you. There's free food.

Cons

As mentioned in other reviews, you will not fit in here as an external hire. Qualia was founded on friends working together and will stay as an organization that promotes each others' friends. Your word means nothing in the face of their seemingly subtle yet blatant gossip. Expect to have no personal privacy. This company is NOT good for women and minorities. I've witnessed harassment from the "bro-like" fraternity they call co-founders and was scared to speak up about it. If you don't know what negs, PUA, and toxic masculinity are, you'll find out here.

Pros

-Young team -Free lunch and snacks -Pay is very high -Location is convenient

Cons

-Young team means a lack of senior leadership -Free lunch actually just means 20-30 minute lunch break -Office space is overly crowded and is not suitable for long term employment -Work life balance is by far the worst con. Though the office is full of new college grads, so it seems most of the time, they are unaware of the better opportunities out there that both pay more and have better work life balance. -Benefits are minimal Most people here started working having already known each other from either college or high school. While it does seem nice that friends and coworkers can intermingle, it’s pretty clear that some people have preferential treatment over others. We can try and bury it to create the appearance that we’re all treated equally… But when a coworker (a peer) says to my face, “I can’t believe you’re getting paid X for this”, I really wonder how much of my information is privy to others. This happened after an admitted mistake I made while doing my job, which caused him to say something so abrasive. To this day, I don’t know how he knows how much I make here unless someone who did know told him in private.

Pros

- the IC's are really great, friendly and helpful people

Cons

- Management is absolutely unprofessional and inexperienced - No feedback - Treated by people in the company in a way that I would not treat my worst enemy - "pick yourself up by the bootstraps" type of company which is usually a pro, however, when management doesn't know what they are doing, it creates a framework for failure - The company lacks diversity and is mostly male and white
