I have been working at Rafferty's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I go to school full time and they are more then willing to work around my schedule.
    Good opportunity for advancement.

    Cons

Work can be stressful at times especially during the Holiday season.
If one person on your line gets in a bad mood, it can spread very quickly.

I worked at Rafferty's (More than 8 years)

    I worked at Rafferty's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The tips are good and the hours are flexible. It was very easy to make friends, as everyone could bond over their shared hatred for management.

    Cons

Management (particularly GM) should be placed on a permanent 5150 hold. Constantly angry and screaming for no rational reason. I worked there for years, but the GM made it practically impossible to have a good day...unless he wasn't there.

    Advice to Management

Treat people well and take your meds. Perhaps the turnover rate and call outs would be fewer if employees weren't constantly feeling a sense of dread.

    Pros

The organization is top notch. The system that is out in place works. Raffetty's has the best server-to-customer-to-back of house flow. The management is on top of every issue and is fair to each employee. Since leaving Rafferty's at the end of 2013, I have worked at 4 different restaurants in Tennessee and Alabama and, by far, Raffery's was/is the most rewarding job I had as a server.

    Cons

I'm sure it is by design, but there is no late night life. Becomes pretty slow around 9pm.

    Advice to Management

Keep to the system. It is working well.

    I worked at Rafferty's full-time

    Pros

Great food; best GM I've ever worked for; teamwork based system; flexible scheduling; great regular clientele; surprisingly good heath insurance for full time employees.

    Cons

    Lack of advancement opportunities; undependable coworkers; inability to fix broken equipment due to cheapness;

    Advice to Management

It's ok to fire someone if they're doing an inadequate job. It's also ok to (gasp!) fix things when they break, or to buy new equipment.
