    Pros

Great Owners, Great Admin Team, and a wonderful group of agents.

    Cons

For me the only down side was driving to McLean three days a week.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you believe.

    Pros

This company was a rising star based out of Ashburn, VA. The best part for me was the 24hr on call availability of Broker/Owners. They were also open to new ideas in Marketing, as opposed to being stuck in the Big Box Realty co's generic marketing solutions

    Cons

The biggest con for me was that the owners sold out to a national brand that focussed mostly on REO business. That is not for me, so much of my business fell out of focus. There was also the assimilation into the corporate real estate world, which had worked so hard to get out of from my earliest years in the business.

    Advice to Management

There really isn't any advice to give considering this company is now gone and sold off. Its a heartbreaker to learn yet another Mom & Pop business has succumbed to the sellout to a national brand...

I have been working at Realty Direct full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Control your own time and destiny. Make as much as you'd like to. Create Residual, retirement income. Multiple offices to work out of, or work from home. Independence. A great training and operating system. Independent contractor status, but can be salaried position once you have a proven track record.

    Cons

Too much independence; if you don't hold yourself accountable, you will not succeed. Live pay check to pay check at the beginning; requires 6 months of living expenses to make a go at switching to this full time career.

    Advice to Management

Hold more people accountable for their production; even though they are independent contractors. Hire more experienced agents or make sure those new agents stick to a consistent training program to increase overall experience level of Realty Direct agents.

Management has an "open door" policy and they always welcome my thoughts on how we can improve the company. So they are well aware of where I stand which more then I can say about past companies I have worked for.
