Taking Care of Business and Taking Care of the Team

Jun 5, 2021 - Medical Writer in Yardley, PA

    Pros

Talented teammates. Teammates who you know have your back. Best-in-class products and services. The leadership team supports us in every way you can imagine. I can't think of a benefit that they don't provide. Seems like every quarter they find a way to out-do themselves to provide something new to raise the bar even higher. Career growth and development is a focus here and the opportunities for advancement are abundant. Teammates are promoted regularly within departments and entirely new positions open up from time to time because of the success and growth of the company. Learning is non-stop here, whether through your normal workflow, monthly departmental learning labs, or through all-company break-to-educate sessions and lunch & learns.

    Cons

    I can't think of any.

    Cons

The work can be tiresome as deadlines approach.

Some great things and some not great things

    Pros

I think some people in the company genuinely care and want you to succeed. Ian is generous with holidays and events and tries to make us feel connected while we're remote

    Cons

The pace is unbelievable. The work/life balance is a bit insane. And although we're hiring a ton of people right now, the pace hasn't changed in the slightest. Everyone I know is working insane hours and it feels like it never ends. It feels like a pretty "flat" organization. It doesn't seem like there is a lot of room for growth. You're just a "consultant, or sr consultant, etc.

    Pros

Great work environment with awesome people.

    Cons

The nature of the business will every now and then disrupt the work/life balance. All-in-all no real cons.

    Incredible Place to Work!

    Pros

This company is so special and unique. I have been here for over 6 years and am constantly amazed at how incredible the group continues to be through the years of growth! They are collaborative, creative, innovative and overall a caring group to spend time with. They have expertly navigated COVID-19 to allow us to remain as connected as possible during these crazy times!

    Cons

Not being able to be together in a building during COVID is a con - but through no fault of the company.

    Pros

Very focused on providing a fun light atmosphere for its employees. Provides a good amount of flexibility for work/life balance. Employees work as a team and are very willing to help each other.

    Cons

Staffing client engagements may require people to frequently learning new roles and disciplines on the fly.

High Quality People, Products, & Service

Nov 20, 2018 - Anonymous Employee in Yardley, PA

    Pros

A large number of experienced, talented, and team-oriented employees committed to delivering high-quality work and an excellent customer experience. Workspace is modern (almost brand new) and comfortable. Management does everything you can think of to ensure people have non-billable opportunities to have some fun and learn throughout the year (weekly lunch and learns, cooking/baking competitions, on-site farmer's markets, happy hours, travel to industry conferences, random cook-outs, etc). Nice location in Yardley borough, flanked by open space, easily accessible by major highways, and a 5 min walk to train station. Ownership and senior leadership is on site, approachable, and they listen and respond to individuals with respect. Company and employees are substantial contributors to the community, eg, a volunteer day off is provided to all employees each year and charitable initiatives are sponsored each year. A robust selection of drinks, snacks, and fruit is provided at no cost to employees. Flexible work hours and work at home needs are accommodated as much as possible. Pretty much any resource you need to get your job done efficiently is approved on the spot.

    Cons

The company can be too nice sometimes, holding on to people who cannot meet minimum standards for too long, or simply holding on to people who don't have a lot to do (this is a rare occurrence, fortunately). Strategy, other than continued growth and customer satisfaction, is largely undefined, which can make prioritization of improvement initiatives a challenge. With respect to improvement initiatives, senior employees could likely be leveraged better in terms of helping to identify and lead improvement efforts; there seems to be a reliance on a very small number of people with similar backgrounds.
