Great people, unfortunate outcome

Pros

Ringtail brought together a uniquely talented and passionate group of people. The team setup encouraged collaboration, and there was a real drive to build something meaningful. When things clicked, it felt like we were part of something special. Those moments of shared momentum and creativity are ones I’ll always appreciate. The culture, at its best, was one of care, hustle, and genuine commitment to making an impact.

Cons

Sadly, despite the strong talent and promising potential, the company couldn't overcome the financial hurdles. A lack of long-term investment support made it incredibly difficult to stay afloat. Ultimately the team was led to a harsh and totally undeserved ending.

Pros

Decent salary, at least for me.

Cons

Chaotic management structure, where the CEO had a meddling hand in everything and ruined stuff that was working. At several points during the many years of development, there was a working prototype which was completely scrapped and overhauled to focus on something different, just to end up in the same place months/years later. The marketing and/or pitching that was done for the project was misleading at best, straight up lying at worst. The decisions and responsibilities of directors were overruled by the CEO in secret, leading a lot of people to (sometimes) incorrectly direct their frustrations toward the wrong people. Once the worst case scenario finally happened, the bankruptcy and it's following consequences was handled by such carelessness and neglect, it's hard to think it was anything other than ill will. A lot of the workforce immigrated to Sweden for the job, and relied on the company for the proper documents and proof for their Visas to be valid. The company and certain people responsible didn't co-operate and refused to help in dire situations where documents or a simple note explaining the situation to some degree to the government would mean several ex-employees would get to stay in the country or be deported. After the bankruptcy of Ringtail Interactive, the same CEO with the same board and investors "bought" the company, and started Brink Gaming AB. Within 2-3 months, another bankruptcy was initiated. This, combined with the fact that they didn't properly file the documents with the government for the immigrated employees still with the new company, meant that it looked like those employees were trying to illegally stay in the country, and some were deported because of it. The CEO and the board, as well as several employees are now continuing as the company fka Ashes & Diamonds Entertainment AB, now known as Brink Gaming Sweden AB.
