Pros

Completely unique company and experience and the opportunity to work with and learn about tons of products. The culture here rewards those that take initiative when it matters, but is laid back in other areas like dress code, etc. There’s not a lot of red tape, and when you are responsible for things, you’re allowed to take the reigns as long as you have a plan. A good work-life balance is encouraged (in my department at least), you’ll not really see many people working late because they’re forced to. The pacing is a bit fast, so high energy and the ability to multitask and see things through to the finish are vital. Some projects do ask a lot of energy, but management does their best to align efforts with result/ROI. If anyone works late, it’s usually because we care about doing a job well, and not because management asked them to. Some teams do have a tendency to ask for things last minute, but there’s only so much within everyones control, and you’re just asked to do your best. Relaxed Dress Code, Nice Coworkers, Holiday Events + Team Builds

Cons

Most of management has been here quite a while, and the fact that you for the most part need to create your own path upward means it can take more effort, but also means that people aren’t frequently promoted by default, or seniority, which can be a plus. If you are intentional about doing work that demonstrates results, you can reach the goal you set out for. Being a younger company, you’re doing things many times for the first time, and reevaluating and innovating processes is something you should do to succeed. Much harder to coast, but solid thinking and taking calculated risks are rewarded here.

Pros

I have learned more working at SCS than any other job I've had. The company prides itself on being innovative and quick to adapt to any challange thrown their way. From my first day forward, I feel like I was met with trust and confidence to make decisons that truly make an impact on the company. The day to day tasks of a brand manager are ever changing and evolving, which certainly takes the monotony out of the work day and I never find myself getting bored. As the company grows and is faced with new challanges, the staff is able to quickly adapt sharpen business-critcal skills. It is a collaborative enviornment where all voices are heard and everyone learns on the go!

Cons

SCS is certainly a fast-paced environment. Because a lot of work we do is uncharted territory, it can be a little overwhelming. But if you develop good skills to keep yourself organized, you'll be fine!
