    Pros

There are none working for this company

    Cons

No time off, on call, no OT, no clear cut expectations, regional management the worst

    Advice to Management

Get rid of regionals and get real professionals

I worked at SPM Property Management full-time

    Pros

The property that I was at was sold and taken over by SPM. They genuinely seemed to care about the employees and residents and seemed to be very hands on. As time went on, communication lingered and this company went back on everything that was promised during the take over. The only people that were truly there for you were Brian Reed and Barbara Reed.

    Cons

No communication, Extremely shady company, Not much training.

    Advice to Management

When you believe that your employees performance is suffering I would seriously consider a coaching or write ups. My entire team was fired on a whim. & when an employee gives notice I would recommend approaching them whether in person or a phone call and ask what is going on. Try showing more concern and care more for your employees that work hard for your company.

    Pros

The company cares about their employees, customers, and vendors. You have a name and a voice. They manage by example and truly want to promote within first.

    Cons

Try to lower medical benefits costs.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up to good work!

I worked at SPM Property Management full-time

    Pros

Never was given a chance to find any pros

    Cons

After being offered a job HR department rescind the offer because of a speeding ticket that was over 5 yrs old. What does that have to do with anything? They claimed that I was dishonest on the application when it asked if I have had any problems with my license. So what is the problem here? I think what happened is that they gave the job to someone they knew and used the speeding ticket as an excuse. Glad I was never hired because I do not work for drama queens or employers who are dishonest

    Advice to Management

    shape up or ship out!

I have been working at SPM Property Management full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I've worked for really crappy companies but SPM is pretty great. There could be things to make it better but that's any place. They take care of you, are flexible/understanding with you if things come up and offer different incentives and bonuses. They are by the book and have fantastic properties.

    Cons

Can get a little redundant or bland as with any office job.

    Advice to Management

Breaking away from a traditional work place and into a more modernized workplace would be great like being able to telecommute, have more exercise or gym time/membership built in. It sucks sitting at a desk 9 hours a day in complete silence sometimes.

    Pros

    Onsite staff are very friendly

    Cons

I was offered a position at one of their properties. I gave my 2 week notice at my current job and signed a lease for housing closer to the site. 4 days before I was supposed to start, they rescinded the offer based on 2 collections on my credit from over 5 years ago. Do not trust them!!! The will leave you without a job. I was told that collections mean you cannot be trusted with confidential information.

    Advice to Management

Don't have applicants give notice until you have completed the process. Be honest with applicants.
