I worked at Sharp Electronics (US) full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits. Great holiday and vacation schedule. Salaried employees receive unlimited sick time.

    Cons

Very strict office hours. 9-5 but expected to stay way past 5 regularly as a salaried employee. Even when completeing
Tasks from home. Micromanaged even though every deadline was met with plenty of time.

Used to have great employee purchase plan for consumer products. Tvs. Camcorders
Vacuums, microwaves vcr/DVD and air conditioners. Now you can get tea pots and air purifiers.

    Advice to Management

Keep hearing company great place to work for. People let go or leave and job responsibilities are dropped on those left with no additional compensation.

    Pros

    Great Benefits. Good Holiday Schedule

    Cons

It's a big corporation so it is easy to just become a number.

    Advice to Management

Look further into the Customer Service side of a Technician, not just the numbers

Variety of duties. Pleasant work environment. Good salary. Good benefits. Good amount of days off. Nice people to work with.

    Cons

The culture between American and Japanese is very different. Ezpectations of management are strictly based on Japanese culture which can be very difficult at times.

I worked at Sharp Electronics (US) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Benefits. Fantastic Company. Very Diverse. Lots of locations to transfer to. Amazing CEOs and corporate support. Very willing to build your professional education with continuous management education.

    Cons

Micro Managing Supervisors in the Charlotte Location create a hostile work environment for their own self preservation to stay comfortable while they ride out retirement. Know your department manager's style before you start.

    Advice to Management

Evaluate management styles of all senior employees every 5 years. If employees have turned enough complaints on a manager, please look into it. Senior management stays comfortable for retirement while crushing young employees for their own self preservation.

    Pros

Great Benefits 8 to 5 Monday thru Friday, they pay for A+ and Net + Certifications

    Cons

If you are new to the industry it can be hard to get another tech onsite to help if needed, but they do train extensively before putting you on a route. You drive your personal car, but they tell you that up front, so the mileage can add up in a large territory

    Pros

Some initial training consist of three days of videos and I'm going away for a week and then you're on your own. The new office is nice

    Cons

Low marketshare, lack of competitive pricing. No leads all businesses self generated are you trying to get just a customers upgrade and sign a new lease

    Advice to Management

Maybe try some marketing instead of churn & burn on reps
