The role didn’t align with the title or the expectations set during hiring. I wasn’t given meaningful work, a clear growth path, or a manager with experience in my field. Repeated requests to contribute to major projects were dismissed, and I was often left out of relevant conversations. "Priorities" were alluded to often but never clearly communicated, and my role felt more reactive than strategic. Feedback was rarely given directly, making it hard to improve or feel part of the team. There were moments of unprofessional behavior from leadership that went unaddressed, ranging from being talked over to outbursts in meetings. It contributed to an unhealthy culture.

I only received one (miniscule) raise in nearly 3 years of working there, and only one bonus. The company was doing poorly financially for most of the time I worked there, and there was a lot of employee turnover, specifically in the managerial roles. Layoffs were prevalent as well.
