I have been working at TELOPHASE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, strong government customer base, great exposure to all sectors of government contracting/proposal development, good company culture that encourages professional growth in its employees.

    Cons

Small company size means that position responsibilities can be fluid. Lack of a concrete training process means that those with a limited knowledge of government contracting will have to learn quickly on the job.

    Advice to Management

Develop a training process or knowledge base for junior employees so that they can better gain a comprehensive understanding of government contracting.

    Pros

A great company to individuals with a team mentality. Top management is very employee centric. You are valued not only by what you bring to the table but by what you contribute as a par of a team. A great reputation as NASA for quality of workmanship. A company small enough to keep the focus on you and your group. The quality of your work will be noticed.

    Cons

None at this time. The company continues to grow.

I have been working at TELOPHASE full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This company is very focused in providing IT support services and model-based process improvement consulting. They have a very good government client base and are constantly working on new proposals.

    Cons

Once the consultants are working for a client they are mostly on their own for success within the project and must provide their own support systems and intellectual property. However, the benefits provided are great and their support team are quick to help with any details necessary to keep the engagement going.

    Advice to Management

Continue to hold onto your intellectual property and personnel assets and keep them engaged with clients.

I have been working at TELOPHASE full-time

    Pros

Flexibility of managing your projects, timeline and work hours on your own. Management is not too involved in the development process, you get to deal with the client.
Competitive compensation and very friendly atmosphere and people.

    Cons

Career advancement may not be possible, exposure limited to a few projects (not more than three). Small team environment might make you feel discouraged or more in control of your work, depending on what you like or want.

I have been working at TELOPHASE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A company's values come from the top. The Telophase CEO and its HQ staff actively take care of their employees in the field. They visit in-person, but not so often that it becomes annoying. I don't demand that nothing ever goes wrong. I do expect prompt and honest communication until an issue is resolved. Telophase delivers, and I honestly believe it's because they care.

    Cons

For most Government contracts, annual raises are limited by customer budgets. The same is true for the other contractor companies here, so no real points lost for Telophase.

    Advice to Management

I know the company is growing. I hope you always keep the values that set you apart, both from the customer and the employee perspectives. Don't become one of those large businesses that treats employees like cattle.
