I worked at Tastefully Simple full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Inside the building is beautiful.

    Cons

Policies and procedures for everything. You commit job suicide if you don't attend a company function. Don't walk on the grass.

    Advice to Management

    No change, no change.

I worked at Tastefully Simple full-time

    Pros

Beautiful building to work in each day. Work space was also good. The people who work there are wonderful and want to make a difference and help the company grow. Benefits were good and flexible schedule if needed.

    Cons

Business growth has been difficult. Layoffs of employees. Employees that work so hard to help shape the structure of the company have not been compensated due to poor sales growth.

I have been working at Tastefully Simple part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

work when you want, as much as you want

commision percentage to earn starts at 20% and grows to 30% with increased sales, as a base consultant

discount percentage to earn starts at 20% and grows to 30% with increased sales, as a base consultant

    Cash sales incentives

Home Office is awesome when you have to call in

    Cons

ProPay (the company Tastefully Simple contracted with to run credit cards through the website) is horrible AND on top of the fee we pay monthly to use it, they also take a percentage of every sale.

If you earn a sales incentive product, you have to pay shipping on the prize

Its a hard sale if you don'thave time to have open houses and if people dont host parties.

    Advice to Management

I wish the company would look into making the website and credit running service ONE site and one cost, not a percentage of sales on top of the fee

and consider free shipping cost when a consultant earns a prize for making the sales bonus.

    Pros

The opportunity is wide open if you are willing to work for it!

    Cons

Lots of recent changes caused stumbling blocks and they have worked hard to get thru those challenges.

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to your consultants. We are on the front lines.

I worked at Tastefully Simple full-time

    Pros

Building is beautiful. Company offers inhouse workout room.

    Cons

Decision making by upper management changes constantly. Seems like upper management can not get on the same page. Everything is an emergency.

    Advice to Management

    Try and work together

I have been working at Tastefully Simple part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Love this company - have been affiliated with them for almost 18 years. What a great way to make extra money. You are your own boss but have fabulous support from HQ. You are your own boss so you are really able to determine your own success. And everyone eats so the products fit everyone!

    Cons

You are your own boss. If you aren't able to set your own schedule and make yourself get to work, this may not be a good fit. Some people just are not meant to be business people.

    Advice to Management

Maybe a screening tool before consultants sign up. Maybe that would screen out the "get rich quick" seekers who loudly complain when they don't do anything and then they make no money. Imagine that!

    Pros

it is what you want to make of it. Put in the time and effort and it can be fulfilling and financially rewarding

    Cons

Structured for team advancement. Leaves those of us that are in it for the discount and the socialization mostly left out.

    Advice to Management

While you say it is "our business" it is structured for growth. Not for us hobby consultants.

I worked at Tastefully Simple full-time

    Pros

In the end there really were no Pro's! Completely absurd

    Cons

This company portrays that they truly care about their consultants but the reality is that this is simply just a big numbers game. A bunch of fakes make money off the consultants busting their rumps and adhering to your craziness.

    Advice to Management

What you need to realize is that you can not crap on longtime consultants, make your own rules for leadership agreements, lie, and expect everyone to believe that this company is unicorns and rainbows when it's not ! If anyone objects because they are struggling because this company is failing they are shunned ! A company I once loved is nothing more than disgusting to me! I'm happy to share with anyone I know my personal story of what this company is really like.
