I worked at Topps Tiles full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great teams in the shops and great staff in the supply chain
Store Managers who care and look after their staff
    Good clean working conditions
Kitchen to make a drink or have lunch

    Cons

Hours can be very long when stores are short staffed
Low pay for the work done and the indepth knowledge that the staff have to gain in order to perform well in their role

    Advice to Management

If you reward your loyal employees with better pay, holiday entitlements you will not only retain more experienced staff, you will also have a happier more productive workforce and you will attract more of the best talent out their to your company.

  4. "Slow to react to the customer market"

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Always pushed to improve.... ideal if very self motivated but not a job just to pay the bills,it will take over your life.... I overall enjoy the challenge but sometimes never see the finishing line due to targets being moved a lot.... but still could be worse.... could work for TG

    Cons

Head office management Slow to react to a good idea or listen to people at shop level, very rarely see senior management due to them being overstretched over half of the company so mostly in a car when you speak to them (feel sorry for them sometimes)

    Advice to Management

It's only a job not a religion for you to sacrifice your life to

I have been working at Topps Tiles full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    There is none.
I would keep clear of this company.

    Cons

No matter what you do (staff) it is never good enough and they just want more and more.

    Advice to Management

Try to live in the real world, instead of sitting behind your desks barking your orders, thinking how you can fill your pockets with more money.
That is for Area Managers as well, put yourselves in our shoes, the new thing now, where prices have been taken away (stupid idea) put CCTV in stores for staff security and safety. treat staff with respect
