I have been working at Transitions Optical full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Used to be a good working environment. Used to be a have a good culture. Pays well. Can
Come in early and leave early.

    Cons

This place is going down in a blaze of French glory. I bet esilor shut down camp in a year or two. They won't need us. they keep forcing us to tell them how we make all our technology, how we run our lines and want us to charge them nothing for our formalas. Can't keep up business that way. Probably how they did things in the old Joe's creek facility in st pete before laying everyone off and shutting it down.

    Advice to Management

You all look scared. And I hear people saying some of you are acting like real jerks. We notice it and it won't be long before were all gone and you're gone too.

    Pros

    They have walking trails.

    Cons

You don't hey hired on if you are a temp. You go thru extensive trading and test but it means nothing. People are quitting constantly and most of the permanent employees are retiring. No room for advancement, no bonus, no vacation time, no benefits etc.

    Advice to Management

Give the temporary employees a chance to become full time employees. Quit being so cheap you are training them then they quit.

    Cons

Hourly pay is not competitive. Do not exoect a cost of living raise every year...they give you a lump sum payment

    Advice to Management

You are solely looking good to the higher ups because the production workers do everything.
