Pros

Pay is good if you negotiate. Remote work environment is helpful for work life balance. Great time off and sick policy. 401K without matching and healthcare benefits are offered.

Cons

There is too much oversight & bureaucracy across the company. There is a lack of empowerment at the team level with lots of guardrails & expectations which aren’t clear. Placement of shadow PMO type “coaches” inside the teams direct process & practices and prevent agile behaviors & practices from coming to life or any type of team driven changes that aren’t sanctioned by the powers that be. Hierarchical/Top down, old school, permission-based culture where only a select group make decisions & speak in general…if you express any ideas that are different without having the “tenure” or “title”, take any initiative without asking for “permission” you will end up being spoken to & put down & treated like a child. They seem to only want people who will mold to their way of thinking. Independent activities or thoughts are discouraged and/or dismissed. Most communication is one way designed to get you to “comply” and they aren’t interested in what you think or how it could be better. Their managerial feedback model lacks transparency and doesn’t encourage face-to-face communication like grown ups communicate. It also doesn’t encourage teamwork or building trust among colleagues. For a company that was voted best places to work in the Boston area – it is seriously lacking or demonstrating the qualities that would warrant it. It will be a HUGE culture shock & disappointment for anyone coming from an employee friendly, people focused culture.

Pros

Good team events to try and create culture even though it's fake culture

Cons

Company leadership is fine but middle management, Director level, is a rag tag group of people who should not be at that title and managing staff as most don't have the relevant management experience. Most of that level are better suited as implementation staff rather than management who are in charge of career development and career path
