I worked at Tupperware part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Set your own schedule; 25% – 35% product discount; monthly meetings with your director and with your regional leadership;

    Cons

Not enough corporate branding marketing materials for soliciting new business; virtually no guidance on how report your income for federal and state taxes

    Advice to Management

Provide more behind the scenes guidance to new consultants, particularly as it relates to the financial aspect of managing a business, tracking expenses, and filing personal income taxes.

I worked at Tupperware (Less than a year)

    Pros

This opportunity gave me good networking skills. I learned how to be self-employed and the requirements of being my own boss. I could decide when I wanted to work and how much I wanted to work. Of course, the more you put into it the more you would get out of it. I met a lot of wonderful people. I also learned what it really meant to be a customer service representative.

    Cons

While this opportunity was mostly a wonderful experience, I was caught between my recruiter and her boss. They fought over me. There was a lot of pressure to host parties, etc. This caused me a lot of stress and I regretted even signing up to be a consultant. Had this not existed, I am sure I would have enjoyed the process much more and would have continued the business after I got married and moved away.

    Advice to Management

If possible, try to take away the pressure to perform. Not everyone who joins the organization will want to be just like you, especially at first. Give more time for your recruits to learn the system and products before pushing them so hard to succeed.

An interesting experience working with the products and the sales force. you become passionate with the dinamics of the work.

    Cons

not very up to date technology, and administrative processes not afficiently enough. the discipline of the admnistration is not the best.

I worked at Tupperware full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Longevity - They would rather see you stay in the same position than move up. You have to really screw up to get fired.
Name Recognition - Under paid and overworked but "Tupperware" looks good on a resume.

    Cons

Compensation - Pay is below the national average.
IT Building - IT needs a major upgrade. The rest of the buildings have been upgraded several times while IT is left on the back burner.
Opportunities - If you are willing to jump through a bunch of hoops then you can move up in the company.

    Advice to Management

Complacency kills productivity - If you don't place any importance on the employees in the IT building they will not go out of their way to be productive.
