I have been working at Tupperware full-time

    Pros

Energetic Coworkers, Interesting Challenges, Fun Events

    Cons

Limited Growth, Dated Ideals, Office Politics

    Advice to Management

Place more value on results from employees, rather than, "working hard," and how long someone has been in a position. Trust your associates to do the job you hired them for, and micromanage less.

I have been working at Tupperware full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Beauticontrol was a great brand and could have been much better if Tupperware leadership had given the company the opportunity to grow and offered more support. The current top level leadership team at beauticontrol, President and VP of Marketing truly had a great vision to make the company great again.

    Cons

CEO of Tupperware. The current CEO never publicly said anything positive about beauticontrol. Often referring to us as a "problem child" to shareholders. When if fact the CEO is the "problem child". CEO lied to shareholder's about the financial loss of closing beauticontrol and saying he had his "best people" working at BC in an attempt to save the company. Mr. CEO, putting your "best people" on a company means they have industry specific industry experience. Not just a warm body who doesn't want to be there in the first place. By the way Mr. CEO where were you? If I have a poor performing brand in my portfolio I would have at least made an appearance in an attempt to see first hand what was happening. I worked for beauticontrol for five years. Never once did you make an appearance at the corporate or manufacturing offices.

Beauticontrol could have been saved shareholders. A restructure of the Supply Chain, Forecasting and Plant Manager would is what beauticontrol desperately needed. These departments lacked the professionalism, experience and passion to make a difference. They just came to work for a pay check. Walmart mentality.

    Advice to Management

When you come to town to announce a company closure. Have a heart. Don't show up in chauffeured driven black luxury SUV's and sedans like your special. After announcing a company closure, have some class. Don't accuse employee's of stealing company assets as they are leaving, and for those left behind to wind down the business, show a little empathy. The continual degrading commits, jokes about the company closing and theft allegations were unnecessary. How would you feel if someone walked in one day, bought and took your desk from you as you were sitting at it. Yes. That did happen.

I have been working at Tupperware full-time

    Pros

Lots of campus-wide activities and events. Very friendly, happy, excited energy from colleagues around campus.

    Cons

Compensation is not competitive with rest of market. Salaries are on low end. There are no bonuses, whether annual or performance-based. Salaries were frozen in 2016 to aide in budget cuts, so there were no raises from 2015 to 2016.
Changeover in departmental management hindered the department cultural environment.
