I have been working at Tupperware full-time

    Pros

Lots of campus-wide activities and events. Very friendly, happy, excited energy from colleagues around campus.

    Cons

Compensation is not competitive with rest of market. Salaries are on low end. There are no bonuses, whether annual or performance-based. Salaries were frozen in 2016 to aide in budget cuts, so there were no raises from 2015 to 2016.
Changeover in departmental management hindered the department cultural environment.

    Cons

None to note for benefit of others.

    Advice to Management

Build the people and THEY will build the business...more effort to guide, mentor and enable middle management to grow and promote up needed to better retain talent.

Too much inner politics..its lost to the company.

I worked at Tupperware part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Set your own schedule; 25% – 35% product discount; monthly meetings with your director and with your regional leadership;

    Cons

Not enough corporate branding marketing materials for soliciting new business; virtually no guidance on how report your income for federal and state taxes

    Advice to Management

Provide more behind the scenes guidance to new consultants, particularly as it relates to the financial aspect of managing a business, tracking expenses, and filing personal income taxes.

    I worked at Tupperware full-time

    Pros

Fun group of people. Offer both an on-site gym and cafeteria (food isn't too bad).

    Cons

Hated watching the company downsize staff every couple of years. Losing so much experience and knowledge. Talked work-life balance, but didn't really create an environment where it was possible.

    Advice to Management

Implement 360 reviews of managers and executives, but not sure how you'll get honesty. Invest in ongoing training for all staff and watch most of the seat warmers become more productive.

I have been working at Tupperware full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A worldwide company to build great relationships. The bosses are understanding and the mission is to create opportunities for individuals, more specifically women. The potential is there.

    Cons

The business model has not changed with the times. The home party system is outdated and we must find ways to communicate more efficiently.

    Advice to Management

Hire more young workers with fresh minds. Experience is not necessarily the most valuable asset when trying to change.
