I worked at US Computer Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working with great managers, and JP is a wonderful guy, and was a blessing to myself and my family. The people were very friendly and were always willing to help each other.

    Cons

Chevron basically cut our budget for our department and they were forced to let us go, they were not vocal about the ones who were going until literally a day before we were let go.

    Advice to Management

Be vocal to your staff, don't hide whats wrong, or what is imminent, it causes trust issues.

I worked at US Computer Corporation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

You get to work with some great people at one of the top oil and gas companies in the world.

    Cons

Where do I begin? Management gives better and higher paying roles to the people they like and not to the people that are qualified. If they could talk you into taking minimim wage for something that should pay $25/hr they will and will then sleep comfortably at night. One of the roles I was in had the specific dollar amount I was supposed to be getting paid and since I asked for $1/hr less they decided to keep that money and put it in their pockets instead of doing as the contract stated. They were being given cost of living increases and instead of giving it to their employees they were lining their own pockets then telling employees they could not give them a raise that year. Some employees have gone without any kind of raise for 4 years! That is why they have been losing work with their customer . . . It's not that they are at the mercy of their customer. Their customer has finally seen how much of a dishonest and unprofessional company they are and do not want them around anymore! Only a few employees were lucky enough to know they were getting laid off ahead of time and not the day of it.

    Advice to Management

First, you should run the company as a business and not like you are in high school. You should provide the harder workers and qualified people the better roles not your buddies. Second, I don't know how you people sleep at night knowing that you are basically stealing from your employees and their families so you need to start providing them better pay. Lastly, you should let your employees know that they will be losing their job when you know so they have time to plan accordingly and start looking for something else. If your company survives after the end o this year you should really rethink how you operate as a company so that your next customer doesn't get rid of you as well.

I have been working at US Computer Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Because their only client is one of the top 3 oil and gas company "chevron" and oil and gas pays good $$$ they do offer some decent benefits.

    Cons

They only match 3% 401K. Lots of nepotism, company is at the mercy of the client as far as new positions etc.. company does offer any training unless their clients asks or a co-worker trains you. Terrible internal decisions for certain roles.. biggest reason company keeps getting in trouble with chevron...

    Advice to Management

Regional manager should meet with everyone in their group not just team leads, lots of cover up going on that US computer turns a blind eye too..
