I have been working at Ultramatics full-time

    Pros

Great water view. Health benefits. Paycheck.

    Cons

I was excited about going to work here based on my interview process and the projects that the company had completed. I learned after I was on full time that most of them were made up. The owner of company has a long history of embezzling from the company and sending money to family from his home country. There have been many lawsuits from former employees who were not paid performance bonuses as promised. Ultramatics ended up losing and paying out.

    Advice to Management

Just be honest and let the public know what you really do.

    Pros

Vision was sold and everyone says the same thing so it appears everyone is on the same page

    Cons

Lack of consistent vision. The vision changes weekly to try and hit the next big thing. Executives are micromanagers meaning if you don't do it the way they want it you will get to do it again, and again and again. They have no ability to let people accomplish things if it is not done exactly how they want it.

They moved someone and his family, he sold his house and they had no intention of letting him be on the bench.

Hired another technical guy and let him go in less than 6 months due to lack of business.

It was by far the worst place I have ever worked. Everyone I know jumped ship or got laid off.

I can't think of a place where everything me or my team worked on was a complete waste of time. So much time and money was wasted.

They are broke, don't go there.

DON'T GO THERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

    Advice to Management

Be consistent and let people do their jobs. You will never grow if you can't establish a single line of business.

You know your in trouble when your boss edits his entire staff emails prior to being sent out and the CFO approves thousands for a Christmas party when the company has no money.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

The location is ok, casual attire, some flexible time/hours may be available, not much else positive to say about them.

    Cons

I can't agree more with the negative reviews of this company. No doubt there are intelligent people that work here but they let the CFO/COO manage the business. This person should NEVER have been placed in a leadership role and was completely unqualified. Also, I will not go into specifics but some of their business practices were highly unethical. Avoid them.

    Advice to Management

    Scale down, fire CFO/COO

    I worked at Ultramatics full-time

    Pros

Nice building/suite, but not something they'll be able to afford for much longer.

    Cons

This is a company with no functioning business model, too many under-qualified/overpaid "higher-ups" and are in desperate need of a moral compass. As another review has mentioned, I also will not go into specifics about what I know, but I would avoid this company at all costs. There are actual executives there that don't even have a real department, nor anyone working beneath them, but are somehow paid the "big bucks". They absolutely do not know how to operate an ethical business and will sell out anyone to make money. Their so-called "initiatives" consist of weaseling their way into other companies to "consult", but only walk away burning every bridge they were ever trying to build. As for the treatment of their employees, it's appalling anyone still works there. And I too will agree that the CFO/COO must go. Individuals like him who try to wear too many hats and are complete "know-it-alls" will only end up micromanaging everyone to the brink of insanity and eventually get the doors on this place shut, permanently. You can also guarantee your voice will never be heard and you'll only be made to feel like you're the problem. Please don't believe the positive reviews on this website. They are all conjured up by current employees/executives. They'll put on any kind of front to help improve the ratings on this page (they monitor it periodically), which again, only shows how deep their deception will go to save what little face they have left with the public. Don't let the wolf in sheep's clothing fool you. This is no place for anyone who wants a real, fulfilling and successful career. They will either throw you out like garbage or take you down with them. You have been warned.

I worked at Ultramatics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Beautiful views, great business concept

    Cons

Upper management is so ill-prepared. Terrible handling of staff and in terms of trusting your employees, there is absolutely none. What a shame to have such a beautiful building and location, and have the turn-over rate that Ultramatics has. Recently, 4 employees in 1 month is not shedding a positive light on things. Longevity is not known at Ultramatics. The CFO needs to go, this is all i have to say.
This is a downward spiral of a company, and it is a real shame that the CEO will not trust his employees' warnings and adhere to their insight. To be constantly surrounded by the negative employees, wanting more money, more appreciation, more trust, is a sad working environment and one of many reasons for the extreme turn-overs.

    Advice to Management

Listen to all the little people in your company, for they are your foundation for success. I'm sorry to see this company not succeed, hopefully the CEO will turn things around with better judgement.

I have been working at Ultramatics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is very clear working here that Ultramatics cares about and values it's employees (refreshing!). The CEO walks to everyone's desks every morning and greets people. It is not uncommon for employees to be taken out to lunch or lunch brought into the office. The benefits are exceptional. Management is very supportive and their doors are always open to employees. The office culture is positive and upbeat. It makes coming to work enjoyable.

    Cons

This is an up and coming company. It is growing but is still a relatively smaller company on the right track for tremendous growth and success. But, If you are looking to work in a big corporation, that is not this environment.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing! Your positivity and support is greatly appreciated!

    Pros

There is an opportunity to not just learn about the latest technologies but a good chance of doing real-world projects bolstering your career experiences. The company has a lot of training resources one can tap into. The people you work with are very sharp with a positive yet focused get-it-done attitude. The hard work is balanced by regular celebrations and camaraderie around everything from corporate successes to personalized birthday and impromptu lunches.

    Cons

It’s a performance-oriented culture. If one is at a point in their life or career where they don’t want to grow, lead, or do both, this probably isn’t the right environment. There is a culture of support, care, professionalism and friendliness, but it’s balanced by an expectation of results from each contributor.

I have been working at Ultramatics full-time

    Pros

This company believes that the right people will put the company where it needs to be.

    Cons

There is a lot of work to do, but the CEO continues to push and keep people focused on what they need to be focused so they don't get sidetracked

    Advice to Management

Continue to evolve and keep pushing

I have been working at Ultramatics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Ultramatics does a great job of hiring quality people and nurturing their development. I appreciate that management's values are good. They do what they say and clearly care about cultivating a friendly, professional work environment. I can't name a single slacker on the team—and there is a good practice of noticing people's accomplishments and thanking them. Also, the CEO makes a point of greeting everyone each morning personally. It's these kinds of touches that let you know they really walk the walk here.

    Cons

It's a delivery-oriented environment, so you are challenged to keep up and really pull your weight. Expectations are clear, but they are also aggressive and require your full attention.
