Smart, collaborative teammates who genuinely care about code quality. Good exposure to architecture-level work and cross-functional projects. Flexible enough to balance delivery with mentoring junior engineers.

Cons

Scope can stretch quickly, so leads end up wearing too many hats. Process and documentation sometimes lag behind how fast the team ships. Career ladder for ICs vs. management isn't always clearly defined. Compensation reviews can feel slow relative to market movement.
