I have been working at Velapoint full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Generous time off policy, Employee appreciation, Benefits, Awesome co-workers, Room to grow, Approachable leadership, Food carts... the list goes on. This company has been nothing short of wonderful. I am pleased to work here and really enjoy the atmosphere that is offered. I do wish that some of the negative people would just go. If they are not happy, why stay. I would say the majority love it here and have really been made to feel like we are part of the family. Managers work hard and most have started from the bottom of the company and grown. Customer service staff and leadership is great, they are always willing to help.

    Cons

Sadly, one bad apple sometimes spoils the bunch. It really bums me out to see some of the negativity by people, this company has been nothing short of awesome. Just like any company, there are some cons, but nothing like what I have seen listed here. It gets really hot sometimes in the building and I wish there were more window seats.

    I worked at Velapoint full-time

    Pros

There are quarterly employee events that many companies don't do anymore. Location was great.

    Cons

Pay was very low. High deductible insurance was horrible. For the department I was in: a boss that wants you to obey and not ask questions. Unprofessional with lack of boundaries.

I worked at Velapoint full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You’ll do great if you lie cheat and steal from customers! Especially taking advantage of the elderly who are on Medicaid and Medicare with limited income. You could get away with all sorts of things and be promoted, it’s wonderful! Sign up people under the false pretense of being major medical! Get fat commission!

    Cons

No cons! You can be asked to resign for illegal practices and still get your bonuses and make more that some people’s entire salaries. The management makes bank too! It’s great!

I have been working at Velapoint full-time

    Pros

-Nice friendly managers -Clean modern floor plan -Good training time -Repeatedly enforced to new trainees to act in ethical ways

    Cons

-Liars- Make promises to employees with no intent to keep them. -Double talk- Tell about company standards and those employees who brake them in an effort to emphasize what a good company they are -Double standards- Kick new employees to the curb for making small insignificant mistakes when current employees do much worse. -Failure to give new employees a chance if they don't like the employee for any reason.

    I worked at Velapoint full-time

    Pros

Pay was okay but it could be better with the amount of work and BS you have to deal with.

    Cons

Everything else. Micro managing and all the managers have their own "Cliques" and if you disagree with one of them, you get bombarded by all of them.

I have been working at Velapoint full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Decent benefits and vacation days.

    Cons

Beyond embarrassing customer service and sales practices. Bottom line is just sales, sales, sales no matter the method or how doing the work wrong can effect other departments. Outdated office space. No clear chain of command. Supervisors gawking at you all day and micromanaging everything you do while they play around on their phones.

I have been working at Velapoint full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Benefits, time off and flexible schedule

    Cons

Communication is null with management. They are on their cell phones all the time checking their facebook accounts etc., They are unapproachable, they get tiffed if you approach them with an issue or question. Pretty much you are to just shut up and do your work. Nothing fun is done to keep the morale up around here. Management gets to go off premises or have lunch delivered just for them. They herd up all together and walk out in a group in front of the minion workers. I think a major change in management needs to be made...there is no respect for management because of the way they play favorites among the team members. Only time they actually show interest in their team and stay off their phones is when the big wigs from National General are coming through then they will abide by the rules that are set for everyone in the company. I have been here and have seen this place go downhill. High turnovers for employees. Seen many come and go.
