IT certifications paid for, but poor management and low PTO
Pros
They will pay for IT certifications after you pass them. The techs are great people just trying to live their lives.
Cons
5 PTO days a year. 5 sick days a year. The management that really matters is all working remotely and mostly unreachable by slack, teams, email. I literally had to call them over 5 times just to get a simple pickup of the phone. After a year of working there, I asked for a review and got a cold shoulder response from a manager who left after I did due to burnt out. He said he would "put a request in" but I never got CCd on any request and I only found out a month later they were not giving annual reviews or raises to EVERYONE. when I called them out on this, they gave a very dry, very scripted response about the contract being strict and they just couldn't afford to give me a raise, even though they have my coworker who worked UNDER me a raise that put his wages OVER mine. None of it made sense, so I found another job and left and immediately got contacted by the contractor Kyndryl to hire me for same job but 10 dollars more. I said "No thanks" cause I am not a Yo Yo and there were plenty of others there that should have also gotten hired on at that rate which I knew they had no plans of doing until they decided to jump ship.
