    The people are nice and the company itself is great. Lots of great people to work with that have been there for a long time and want to see others succeed below them.     Honestly one of the most stressful and unrewarding jobs I've ever worked. You'll start out as a Contractor, you don't get any benefits, pay incentives, PTO, etc. They expect an absurd amount of time from you, I'm referring to meetings, quizzes, exams, daily assignments, posts to read and acknowledge, all the products you have to know and learn to troubleshoot, 3 chats at a time, phone calls, and if it's busy, they'll...

    Check in with your employees and about team morale, I know many other people here have the same thoughts and feelings and have repeatedly voiced their opinions which have gone unnoticed.     Pros

    - Free lunches when times are busy (but you have to give up your lunch hour and eat at the desk, usually it's just fast food, nothing catered) - Company parties are great (although, tech support is usually unable to attend, nor are they advised about them) - Really great health benefits - Middle management are super nice and honestly try to help you.

    Cons

    - Temp to hire, they make it sound simple to get hired on, but really, it takes about a year to come over. - No incentives. The employees had to come up with 'waffle Wednesday' just to help boost morale for themselves, and management still won't pay for it. - No way to move up in the company - Nepotism is played out, and it shows as the department being ran by it, is falling apart. - Micro-managed in call quality...

    Re-organize the department, create specialists, don't have everyone do the exact same thing. Everyone has different styles and skills, use that to your advantage. Don't worry so much about the little things. Focus on the bigger picture and make the change swift and quick. Realize that just because you have a great product, doesn't mean you can treat your agents the way you do and not keep up with the area's tech industry...

    -Leave your offices every once in a while, talk to your team members. Learn what’s issues are plaguing your employees. - PLEASE don’t roll over when other departments push out crappy builds to a product. You’re not the one defending it to an angry customer

    I have been working at Xactware Solutions full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

    It's a solid company and the training is good. The company is improving in a lot of ways, but the tech support department still needs a lot of improvement. Most of the people are really nice and easy to work with.

    Cons

    Morale in the support department is at an all time low. It feels like you are no longer a person but just a set of numbers on a spread sheet. Managers seem to have no idea how to improve morale, and just bring in cookies and think that will fix the problem. It's nice, but not a long term solution.

    - Hire more people so the department is staffed properly. People are burning out. - Allow people to work from home. The current work from home program in the support department is just a facade, and it's only meant to prevent people from working from home. It's impractical. Working from home costs the company nothing, and it helps your employees, it helps with morale, helps with attendance, and so many other things,...

    I have been working at Xactware Solutions full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

    The benefits at Xactware are good.

    Cons

    Pay raises do not keep up with the standard of living Morale in support has taken a massive hit. Managment doesn't realize or doesn't care about how bad it is. No activities to help build morale. Software being released is so bad that support has taken the full force of angry customers having problems.

    Come out of your offices and actually talk to people. See how people are doing.

    Pros

    Innovative and profitable company. Solid and highly experienced leadership team. Diverse team. Stable work environment. Legitimate work contributions are rewarded. Great office - gym, basketball/tennis/pickle-ball, and volleyball courts. Respect for work/life balance.

    Tons of road construction going on around or near the building that makes the commute kind of a pain.

    If you're a man - it's all pros, if you're a woman you will be looking for another job soon.

    Cons

    You need male genitalia to work in the department you have been trained in. Boys club only.

    Advice to Management

    Stop acting like your career is a boys club and girls aren't allowed. Get rid of the toxic people on your team so the real talent can do their jobs and work peacefully.

    Started out great. Somewhat relaxed environment, they don't really care what you're doing as long as you're getting work done. This makes for slow days being really enjoyable.     - QA is entirely too strict. You can't expect your technicians to take on the volume of work that they do and be near-perfect. Re-think how interactions are to be graded and ease off. - You're out of touch with your employees. Get to know more of them on a personal level and listen to their regular feedback.
