Pros
The pros of this job is that the team members are typically kind and supportive, and the clients are often Fortune 500 companies with big names which (hopefully) looks good on a resume.
Cons
Simpleshow does not compensate their workers fairly. Management expects writers to be available 9-5 on Monday through Friday to answer questions, communicate, and do work on tight deadlines. (Often outside of these hours as well.) Despite the expectation of full-time availability, writing at simpleshow is only a part-time job with no benefits, no salary and no hourly wage. Writers are paid by the run-time of the projects they create, regardless of how many rounds of revisions the client requests per simpleshow's "unlimited revision" policy. In a full calendar year of working at simpleshow I made approximately $5k, even though I took on as many projects as I could at any given time. When I took on other part-time jobs, as was obviously necessary due to the wages at simpleshow, it was discouraged because it took away from the hours I could be available.
