I have been working at thyssenkrupp full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My supervisors are great and accommodating, I get along with all of my coworkers swimmingly, the pay and benefits are great, there's plenty of opportunities to work overtime if need be, and workplace morale is high.

    Cons

Very stressful (pays well for a reason), not much of a nightlife when starting out, you may have to work holidays, and sometimes people can be jerks (but in all fairness, that can't really be avoided.)

I worked at thyssenkrupp full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great location, fast paced environment, lots of face-to-face and over-the-phone customer interactions. Flexible weekly work hours.

    Cons

Awful management, poor organizational structure. No real growth potential. Inability to utilize all skill sets. Politics of management typically interfere with one's ability to do one's job.

    Advice to Management

Fire Falcone. Falcone is an ego maniacal, out of touch, rude, insensitive, tyrant who could not care less about anyone other than himself.

    I worked at thyssenkrupp full-time

    Pros

Floor employees are great, decent benefits

    Cons

Upper Management is not very welcoming to regular employees

    Advice to Management

Without the floor works, you wouldn't have jobs

I have been working at thyssenkrupp full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is good for forklift drivers. Really easy repetitive work. They don't rush you really or stress you out when it comes to work.

    Cons

The supervisors and leads... depending on your supervisor he or she will be the reason why you will want to go to work the next day.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees complaints about the supervisors even the temps and don't just let it go in one ear and out the other.

I worked at thyssenkrupp full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    dispatchers were paid well here

    Cons

complete circus. dishonest management, vp over customer service has no experience in customer service and it shows. constant changes by people who make poor choices makes for surly mechanics, unstable work environment. promises not kept. mechanics are disgruntled, leads to some being unkind. many branches don't feel like the have to follow rules, causes much confusion. nothing is streamlined, management doesn't know which battles to fight, never goes to bat for dispatchers. training is VERY poor. office conditions uncomfortable. we complained that it was constantly cold and they provided us with fans.

    Advice to Management

follow through with promises, promote from within. stop being tricky people.

  9. "A nice company to work for."

    Pros

Thyssenkrupp has a pretty laid back environment and they have multiple events to try and get the employees to interact. Great healthcare. 401k matching up to 3%.

    Cons

While Thyssenkrupp HQ in Germany has more vacation and offer their employees flex dates here in the US they do not. There is no flex time, working from home, and only 10 vacation days a year.

    Advice to Management

Research other companies in the same industry to see how they are evolving their policies to retain new talent.

    Pros

Good benefits, steady work, decent pay

    Cons

Outdated equipment. Under staffed for what needs to be done, inexperienced operators think They know it all, but they dont

    Advice to Management

It's hard to be the nice guy and have everyone like you. But quality and safety shouldn't be sacrificed. Discipline should bd enforced
