  • Meet our colleague Ida Sooksaman. At the beginning of the shelter-in-place orders in Los Angeles, she started a neighborhood grocery run for a few of her senior neighbors who are unable to drive or leave their homes by setting up online deliveries and delivering what she can herself (while practicing social distancing). This act of kindness during a challenging time has brought her community together. Thank you for all you do, Ida.

  • At 18 years old, Senior Talent Acquisition Manager Carmen Vázquez knew she wanted to do something meaningful with her life. Growing up in a mountain town in Puerto Rico, graduating college was the privilege of few at the time.   • The way we work may change, but that doesn't mean we can't keep forwarding our mission. "The journey to attract talent to Amgen doesn’t stop just because we can’t meet in person," said Anette Gillian from #AmgenUK, who shared a photo of her home office where she continues to connect with candidates virtually. "Using video calling as often as possible helps you to stay connected to people and has been a really good tool for interviews. We continue to hold interviews, replacing the classic face-to-face interviews and assessment centres with video conferencing.     The world of biotechnology was still relatively new when a document-just three pages long-was delivered to California Secretary of State March Fong Eu on April 8, 1980. The papers filed on behalf of William Bowes Jr. and Winston Salser said, in the simplest terms, it planned to operate as an incorporated California business.
