Congratulations, Suzie Ehmann, physical therapist at Atrium Health, for an international award nomination for her book! The book, “S.T.R.I.D.E: A Compression Selection Algorithm for Lower Extremity," offers new guidance on managing lymphedema long-term. Lymphedema causes swelling and inflammation, often following cancer treatments, and we applaud Suzie and her work at Atrium Health’s Musculoskeletal Institute to help patients manage this painful condition. The book, co-authored by Robyn Bjork, was nominated for “Excellence in Compression and MLD” by the Journal of Wound Care World Union of Wound Healing Societies Awards. *Disclaimer: This photo was taken before PPE protocols for COVID-19 were put into place.
