In São Paulo, we’ve been busy settling into our new office! With immediate access to the Brigadeiro Station subway and a great balcony view of Paulista Avenue, we’re loving the easy commute and beautiful setting. On the interior, we’re having fun personalizing the space and working with designers to pick out new furniture and decor!
We’re excited to welcome our new Avenue You interns! Through Avenue You, our interns are exploring careers by rotating between departments such as Marketing, Business Development, and Client Services, all while helping us serve a diverse client base that includes Fortune 100 companies in the retail, financial, insurance, automotive, and tech industries. It’s been a great first week!
Looking back at the Month of March, we're proud of our AC family for helping us honor Women's History Month. Our San Francisco office hosted a month-long clothing drive to benefit Dress for Success, an international non-profit that empowers women to achieve economic independence. In Brazil, we threw a special lunch for Tina’s House, a charity that supports socially vulnerable women. Thanks to all of our Avenue Coders for your generous donations and time!
Over 100 years ago, International Women's Day was instituted on March 8th to celebrate and uphold justice, dignity, hope, equality, collaboration, tenacity, appreciation, respect, empathy, and forgiveness. We at Avenue Code promote these values throughout the year and take time today to remember that the best gift a woman can receive is respect. This year we started a tradition to make respect more tangible: each employee was given a rose and asked to re-gift it to a woman they respect the most.

We take Halloween seriously at Avenue Code! Every year, our Avenue Coders come dressed in spooky, creative costumes to celebrate this haunted holiday, and this year wasn't any different. We had lots of fun celebrating at our own party, and we wish everyone a happy Halloween!
Over the weekend, we partnered with NASA to sponsor its Space Apps Challenge! A team of talented Avenue Coders took on this 48 hour-straight hackaton with their mobile and machine learning expertise. It's exciting not only to sponsor this amazing event, but also to cheer for our team along the way!
