BIC has received an A- “Leadership” ranking from CDP for our climate change efforts in 2019. While this is great news, there's still so much we can do. Our teams continue working toward our 2025 “Writing the Future, Together” goals, including fostering sustainable product innovations and acting against climate change – all of which will contribute to a more sustainable future.
In January, BIC Melbourne team members came together to help communities impacted by the bushfires devastating Australia. In partnership with Good360, they packed 3,000 BIC Back to School packs and 100 School Administration kits and delivered them to schools affected by the fires. The 70 schools receiving BIC supplies have been hard hit in this ongoing crisis. In some cases, the schools themselves have sustained damage and are forced to set up temporary operations in local halls and community centers and many students have lost their homes. Thank you to our team members in Melbourne for lending a hand. We value your action and send our thoughts to everyone continuing to assist aid efforts in the country.

The NGO Jood recently hit the road in a truck that gives Morocco's homeless men space to shower, brush their teeth, receive clothing donations and get a fresh shave and haircut sponsored by BIC. They'll drive throughout Morocco over the course of an entire year, and when they're done they'll have helped more than 8,000 people. We wish them all the best, and we're so proud BIC Morocco has partnered with Jood to support their journey.
The BIC Corporate Foundation recently attended the launch of the nonprofit Article 1's Job Ready program, which will help underserved youth in France identify and showcase soft skills. The Foundation supports programs like JobReady because BIC recognizes that soft skills have enormous value in every facet of professional life.
