This week, the BIC Nordic team helped make comfortable learning spaces and fun memories for families in need during #BICGlobalEducationWeek. Team members worked with two local transitional housing locations where families live while seeking new, permanent homes. They spent time redecorating the buildings' activity rooms so children could have a comfortable place to learn and all the residents could enjoy welcoming common areas. After the hard work, however, it was time to play! Together with the BIC Nordic team, children explored Universeum, a public science center, and enjoyed a movie screening complete with snacks.
BIC Germany team members are using #BICGlobalEducationWeek to help learners of all ages. Monday and Tuesday, they visited students at the Multigeneration House Eschborn to lend a hand by: • Providing school supplies to teachers • Helping the elderly visitors use Multigeneration House's computer café • Babysitting children at the center for refugee parents while they studied German language • Leading creative writing sessions and painting with visitors • Reading aloud with children Thanks to our German team members for providing such meaningful services to their community! #BIC #TeamBIC
Last weekend, BIC Turkey got a head start on our #BICGlobalEducationWeek activities when team members in Istanbul converted an old school bus into a new art bus and learning space! The team also organized a festival filled with arts and crafts for hundreds of local children, who we hope all left with happy, lasting memories.

Today, we had the honor of welcoming 20 local veterans to our North America Headquarters during the United States' Veterans Day holiday. It was wonderful to hear the stories shared and to connect with local heroes at this special lunch event. Thank you to all of our veterans for your service, and thanks to everyone on Team BIC responsible for this wonderful day.
This year, BIC South Africa and the Zinto Marketing Group brought sustainability to their local community with the BIC Recycle, Re-use, Reduce Education Program and Roadshow. The program took place at the Leratong Primary School and taught children, teachers and families how they can keep their schools and communities clean. The children joined in immediately, and quickly started a competition to see who could collect more recyclable materials. BIC and Zinto awarded the children who collected large amounts of recyclables with bicycles and gift vouchers, with a classroom makeover sponsored by BIC South Africa as the grand prize! At the program's end, the kids collected over one ton of recyclable materials. They have already made a huge difference in their local community and we can't wait to see what they do with their newfound recycling expertise!
Recently, BIC Cello hosted 31 of its biggest distributors in a first-of-its-kind event aimed at strengthening the ongoing partnership between the company and its customers. The event included a factory tour of BIC Cello's Karambeli facility, Asia's biggest stationery factory, workshop presentations, as well as a gala dinner. The event helped shed light on the brand, it's legacy, and its plans for 2020.
This week we celebrated as our first annual integrated report struck gold with another prestigious award from Stratégies, a leading French magazine specializing in Marketing and Communications. This is the second award we have received from Stratégies for our report, titled Being Essential, this time in the Brand Content category. We're proud to produce such a noteworthy publication, and grateful for its continued recognition.
We’re proud to announce that for the third year the BIC Graphic European team has received the 2019 PSI Sustainability Award for Economic Excellence from the International Network of the Promotional Product Industry. Each year, the award recognizes a business that improves the balance between the economy and the environment. Previous wins have distinguished BIC Graphic for: - Economic Excellence in 2017 - Sustainable Product in 2017 - Social and Environmental Initiatives in 2018 This recognition is a reminder of our commitment to integrating sustainable development with all aspects of our business, and we look forward to accomplishing more of our 2025 sustainable development goals.
